Every morning feels easier than the last because Grayson has come into my life. He's made things breathable and when I'm around him I'm instantly calm, it makes me forget about all the bad things that are going on around me.I might be naive to be blocking out the potential damage that is about to happen to my life, regarding my parents' new arrangement to have me marry the Duke of Huntingdon. But knowing that I'll wake up to seeing Grayson everyday makes me ignorant to the idea.
If I can't change it, I might as well enjoy what I have before it's gone.
Before I'm a married woman who will be living away with a man who is old enough to be my dad.
There is a knock at my door and I practically leap out of bed, grabbing my bed robe and wrapping it around my body. When I press down onto the handle and open the door the excitement on my face is instantly extinguished when I stare back at my mother.
I try my hardest to mask my disappointment before she catches on and I force a smile. "Good morning," I swallow harshly.
My mothers eyes flick over my face and down at my robe. "You need to get out of bed and get dressed, into something nice," she straightens out her pencil skirt. "You are needed at exactly ten o'clock, please be ready in time. People will be waiting for you."
