Sophie arrives at my apartment approximately two hours after she responded to my text. I've never been so relieved to see someone in my life. Even though she wears a septum piercing and a short bob with an edgy fringe, she still smashed her law degree without a struggle. Breaking all the stereotypes around the profession of law.

I bring her into a hug and thank her for coming, she takes one look at my face and asks what the hell has been going on with me. She still thinks that I'm in the army, that's what I got from her texts whilst I was in the castle.

She sits down beside Kai and I explain the whole story, going into grave detail about the contract, the non-disclosure agreement, what Richard did to Everly, the consequences she would receive when she gets in trouble. Absolutely every detail that I can remember.

"Jesus, Grayson," she shakes her head in disbelief. "That is absolutely crazy."

"Please can you help me get her out, Sophie? You are my only hope and I fear I will never be able to see her again." My voice wobbles and she nods her head.

Kai looks between us quickly. "Of course, of course. I mean you said you have evidence. Can I see it?"

I grab the laptop and log onto my one-drive, showing Sophie the pictures of Richard and Philip's emails, the voice recording of their corrupt plan. My heart shatters when I remember I backed up the pictures of Everly in her sundress, matching the flowers when we went for a walk around the garden of the castle.
