Chapter 13. The First Challenge

It was the second day until the challenge, which was tomorrow. Turns out that everyone in the whole school found out about the stupid challenge coming up tomorrow. Even Ikuto, well that's probably because Utau told him.

I was currently at my desk doing my homework. "Haa, I can't concentrate at all!" I yelled grabbing my pink hair, feeling slightly frustrated. I started spinning around on the chair hoping it would calm me down.

"This isn't working at all." I mumbled as I stopped the chair, feeling dizzy now. Great. "Maybe a walk will calm me?" I asked to no one in particular, as I pulled my hair into a high ponytail. I started walking down the stairs and put on my tennis shoes.

"Where are you going my little sparrow?" Asked Papa's voice as he entered the room. "I'm just going for a walk to cool my head off." I replied. He instantly looked worried, "NO, there are boys going to kidnap you out there!!" He yelled blocking the door.

"Papa, I'm not going to be kidnapped, so please move." I asked crossing my arms and tapping my foot in annoyance. "No!" He yelled stubbornly. I just sighed, "fine. I won't go then." I said as I started to go to the back door this time. "Good!" I heard Papa yell.

I quietly sneaked out of the house and was in the backyard. I opened the gate and was at the front of the house now. I quickly ran away hoping that Papa didn't see me or Ami.

I stopped running and started to walk and was happily humming a random tune. After about 10 minutes of just wandering around I ended up close to a huge house, it looked like a mansion. It was a mansion. "Woah! I wonder who lives here?" I said looking at the mailbox's name.

"Tsukiyomi," I read aloud. I could feel my body turn ice cold. I quickly shuffled my feet away from the huge gates immediately. "I didn't know he this lived close to me!" I yelled, I was starting to feel dizzy again.

"What are you doing here?" Said a voice beside me. Already knowing the voice I slowly turned at the direction of it and saw a confused Ikuto. "I-Ikuto! Um...hi?" I stuttered. He chuckled a little and said, "you're quite the stalker to know where I live." he said with a smirk.

I blushed out of anger, "I-I'm not a s-stalker!!" I yelled. "Yeah, I believe you Strawberry." He said emphasizing the word Strawberry. "Don't call me that!!" I yelled. I heard him laugh and I could feel my face heat up at the sound of it.

"So, I heard you have a challenge with Saaya tomorrow?" Ikuto asked, changing the subject. "Yeah, I really don't wanna do it though." I mumbled while looking at my foot on the ground. "Make sure you don't get hurt alright?" He replied. At this, I looked up at him and didn't see no smirk or any glint in his eyes, just concern.

"I'm not a little kid so I won't get hurt." I mumbled. "I'm just worried about you." He said. I saw him come a little closer and my eyes met his azure ones. It took me a while before I could look the other direction, but I finally did, when someone interrupted us.

"Ikuto-sama, please come inside!!" Yelled a voice coming from the huge mansion door. I heard Ikuto groan and he said to me, "I'll watch you tomorrow." He said and walked to the gate, punching in the code to open the gate. I could feel my face blush and I yelled, "I don't need you to watch me!! I'm fine!!" I heard him stifle a laugh, "bye." He said while waving to me without turning around.

I watched him leave and once he did it was getting late. I ran back home and closed the front door as quiet as I could. "Ah! Onee-chan's home!!" Yelled Ami as she ran over to me. "Shhhhh!!" I whispered. "What's wrong?" Ami asked, confused. "Nothing, is Papa wondering where I am?" I asked.
