Chapter 20. The Childhood Friend

Amu's Pov

A couple of days have passed and it was now Thursday after school.

Over the past couple of days, I still wore my disguise everyday, making everyone disappointed as they wanted to see me without it, but I didn't want to unless I had a reason not to wear it.

The good part is that most people have now accepted me as part of Utau's group with everyone else. The bad part was that some girls hated me to the bone since Ikuto kissed me in front of everyone. And Saaya hated me even more, since I won the challenge, and she said that I 'humiliated her' in front of everyone, but the real reason she really hated me now was because
she said 'I stole her Ikuto-kun away.'

Which who I would love to give to her, but he kept on teasing me everyday whenever he saw me or followed me like a stalker. Which bugged me. Alot.

I sighed, as I opened the front door to my house with Ami since I picked her up from school today, and we both yelled, "we're home!"

I quickly went upstairs to put my stuff away and change, before heading back down to see Mama not in the kitchen but sitting in the living room with her laptop in her lap as she worked.

"How was school?" She asked, the same thing she would whenever I came home. "Alright." I said, and remembered Saaya attempting to mess with me in class today. Only to be helped by Utau and Rima. "That's good." She said nodding and went back to concentrating on her work.

Oh! That's right!" Mama exclaimed as if she just remembered something. I looked up at her, waiting to hear what she had to say. "Amu-chan, last night I got a call from Mizue and she said that they moved down here earlier this week." She said.

I paused, Mizue? Who was Mizue? I thought.

"Uh...who is that?" I asked. Mama just smiled, shaking her head. "Mizue is Tadase's mother. Remember Tadase? Your childhood friend?" Mama asked. Now my mind clicked, remembering him. "Oh! Now I remember! That's great then!" I exclaimed.

I met Tadase when I was about seven years old and we were good friends until we moved when I was around eleven or twelve years old. I lost all contact of him and forgot all about him until now.

"We're all going to visit them later, once Papa gets home from work." She said and I nodded, heading towards the kitchen to eat a snack with Ami following me.

I looked down at her and asked her, "Ami, do you want something to eat too?" She nodded, eyes glistening and she skipped to the kitchen as I smiled at her.

After eating our lunch, we heard the door open, with Papa stepping in the house and Mama told him about the old friends who moved, telling him that we were going to visit them sometime today.

After I was done with my homework and it was about 5:30 Mama announced that it was time to leave for the Hotori household.

When we got there, I saw that it was a Japanese styled house, with all of the traditional Japanese stuff. Ami and I looked at it in awe for a second before we saw some people emerge from the gate around the house.
