LUX'S POV

The pair had arrived back home both with their stomachs full and hearts warm. Lux was cleaning up the room a bit since Jinx never cleaned. Cleaning reminded Lux of home. How she wished she could go back for longer, go back to the books and the gardens. She loved Piltover and Zaun but she missed her home.

"Did you wanna play downstairs?" Jinx asked with a smirk on her face.

"Sorry Jinx, I don't really feel like it right now." Lux said softly hinting she was upset.

"Is everything okay?" Jinx asked as she walked closer to Lux.

"Yea, just perfect." Lux said softly again turning around to fix their bed.

"Alright. I'm going to finish up on Fishbones, if you need me I'll be at my work bench." Jinx said as she danced over to the bench.

Lux breathed out a deep sigh. This plan wasn't going to work, it never was, and never will. Lux waked over to were Jinx was and sat down to watch her and think her plan through. It was selfish of Jinx to kidnap her sister but Lux knew she couldn't say no to her.

"Babe, are you sure this is going to work?" Lux asked

"Absolutely, I've ran over the data like hundreds of times and wowee it's gonna be epic!" Jinx giggled.

Epic..?

"I'm going to bed wake me up when you're leaving." Lux sighed. Jinx gave a nod and continued with her work.

Lux walked over to the bed, pulled out a shoe box from underneath which held a black gown and hood in which she threw on without Jinx noticing and slipped out the door.

VI'S POV

Vi storms out of the council hearing with Caitlyn running out after her as the rain falls down heavy upon the pair.

"Vi! Wait! Where are you going?" Caitlyn softly yelled.

"I don't know. Back were I came from?"

"Seems like that's what everyone up here wants." Vi spoke softly.

"I can fix this..." Caitlyn muttered.

"You can't!" Vi turned around staring blank into Caitlyn's sad eyes.

"This is how things are, how they've always been. I was so stupid to think it could change. You don't deserve this, you don't deserve me..." Vi said softly.

"There must be something else I can do. Some other way..." Caitlyn murmured.

Silence.

"We have to try..." Caitlyn murmured again.

"We tried okay, it wasn't enough. I wasn't enough."

"Topside and bottom. Oil and water. That's all there is." Vi argued.

"But... what about us?" Caitlyn sobbed.

Rain dripping down the pairs faces as silence fills the void of the space. Sounds so loud and quite the heart beats of the pair screamed in agony.

"Oil and water. Wasn't meant to be."

Caitlyn let's out a small sigh and sob.

"You're just saying that. I know that's not true." Caitlyn stuttered.

"Just do yourself a favour Cupcake. Go back to that big shiny house of yours and just... forget me. Okay?" Vi said as stroked Caitlyn's cheek and began walking in the opposite direction leaving Caitlyn crying in the poring rain.

Caitlyn stool watching Vi walk away. 1 block, 2 blocks, 3 blocks, a blur of vision. Caitlyn could no longer see Vi. She was just... gone. Caitlyn fell to her knees screaming and crying on the wet floor. Hyperventilating, drowning in her tears. This love, was it real? Was it Lust? Caitlyn didn't know what to do.

Vi now out of Caitlyn's sight walked down a familiar dark path staring up into the rainy nights sky wishing away thoughts of Caitlyn. Vi didn't want to leave Caitlyn, but she did it to protect her, from herself. Vi continued walking not noticing the dark figure following behind her. The figure stepped into the light of a street lamp placing a cloth over Vi's mouth and tackling to the ground.

"Lux?" Vi murmured thought the cloth.

"SHHH!" She whispered loudly.

"I don't have much time but you must go. Take yourself and Caitlyn as far away as you can. There is danger near by. Please I beg you leave while you can." Lux whispered taking her hand off Vi's mouth.

"You're insane. I think Powd- I mean Jinx has changed you. You aren't the same anymore." Vi pushed Lux off of her and into a puddle the lay on the road.

"Leave me out of whatever this game is." Vi shrugged off Lux's attempt of whatever it was and continued down the path to find Jayce.

LUX'S POV

Lux brushed off the mud and water and began running towards home. She blew her one chance at making things right there was no changing this now. She ruined it. Then Lux stopped running.

"Caitlyn" she whispered.

Lux quickly pulled out her staff and teleported the the Kiramman home where she was greeted by Caitlyn's lovely father and a maid.

"Where's Caitlyn?" Lux asked.

"Last I checked she was at a hearing with the council. She's probably on her way home now. Although it was supposed to finish half and hour ago." Tobias said.

"HALF AN HOUR AGO!" Lux yelled

Shit!

Lux immediately ran out the door heading towards the the building in which the hearings take place. It wasn't a far walk but Lux had no energy to teleport she was to drained. As the rain pored down on Lux's face she began to see a figure of a girl lying curled up on the floor. As she ran further the figure became clearer.

Caitlyn...

"Caitlyn is that you!" Lux yelled out.

"Go away!" Caitlyn yelled back.

Lux had reached Caitlyn laying face down in a puddle.

"What happened?" Lux asked.

"Vi."

"What about Vi?" Lux asked.

"She left me."

"Let's get you back home. You're in no state to be out right now.

The pair made there way back to Caitlyn's home. Lux could now see in the light the mascara stains from Caitlyn's tears.

"Want me to fix that?" Lux asked as she pointed towards her ruined mascara.

Caitlyn nodded. Lux began whipping away the black smudges from her eyes and followed it by applying a face mask to her face.

"Leave it on I'll be back with some tea..." Lux said.

Caitlyn again nodded and walked over to her bed.
