LUX'S POV

Lux walked out of Caitlyn's room and down the familiar hallway and down the stairs to the kitchen. Lux saw Tobias in the living room talking to a maid. Lux tried to slip past quietly but was recognised.

"Everything okay up there?" Tobias asked.

"Perfect Mr Kiramman. Just going to grab Caitlyn some tea." She replied.

"Let me help dear." The maid implied.

"No it's really okay, thank you for the offer but Caitlyn just needs some space right now."

"Very well dear." The maid replied.

Lux continued on her path to the kitchen and boiled up a pot and began to make Caitlyn some tea. Lux had always loved the beautiful details of the tiles around the kitchen they looked like a stream of water flowing and sparkling as the water ran over the rocks.

Lux made her way back up to Caitlyn's room with the tea in hand. She knocked once and waited for Caitlyn's faint "come in". She entered and placed the tea down on her bedside table.

"How's my strong girl holding up?" Lux asked.

Caitlyn sighed.

"What happened?" Lux asked as she picked up a damp cloth she had prepared earlier.

"You never know how much someone means to you until they leave." Caitlyn sighed again.

"I know what you mean." Lux said as she began to pat down Caitlyn's face removing the face mask.

"Back at Home I never really spent a lot of time with my brother. He was usually out of the house helping my father or busy with the Crownsguard family. I was more the indoor girl. I never left for to long. Mostly it was just my mother and I. It got lonely. And when my brother finally left home, I wasn't sure what to do with my life." Lux said softly.

Caitlyn took a sip of the tea and looked back at Lux.

"Thank you. You know, I still don't like your girlfriend but you. You're a kind girl Lux." Caitlyn said softly.

"You're welcome." Lux smiled back.

Lux began to leave Caitlyn's room to give her some space after she assumed something bad happened between her and Vi.

"Take a shower later, will you." Lux giggled as she pointed to the dirt on her knees as she disappeared out of the room.

Lux was unsure of what to do next. She couldn't bear the thought of Jinx, Vi was a no show and well Caitlyn needed to be alone. Once again Lux was left to her empty thoughts. The only person Lux could think of was Viktor.

She made her way down to the labs even though it was almost midnight. She assumed he would be there because that was his happy place.

Lux wandered through the empty, dark and quiet streets of Piltover when she finally got there. She slipped into the building quietly and began to walk down the halls towards the lab.

Lux heard loud banging noises and sounds of winds gushing. Lux quickly picked up her pace. But then there was a loud boom and everything went quiet.

"Viktor." Lux faintly said.

"Viktorrrr!" Lux yelled as she ran down the final corridor and burst open the door of the lab to find the one and only on the floor.

Viktor seemed abnormal, his legs were glowing pink and purple and his chest and back were exposed showing his back support. He was on the floor crawling towards Lux.

"Viktor what happend?" Lux said as she dove down and placed Viktor in her lap.

There was no response.

Lux carried Viktor to a chair and quickly grabbed him some food and water to drink. As he ate and drank Lux studied the room. The Hexcore was glowing the same colour as Viktor and no longer had symbols on the sides. It was as if the Hexcore was now infused with Viktor.

"What's going on Viktor? Talk to me goddammit!" Lux said with Viktor in her lap.

"You don't need to know my dear child." He murmured as a tear fell down his cheek.

Lux wiped away his tear with her sleeve cuff.

This night couldn't get any worse.

"Just get my walking stick will you? I will be okay." Viktor stuttered.

Lux nodded and placed his walking stick leaning against the bench.

"Do you need anyth-"

"NO! I will be just fine, now go." Viktor interrupted.

Lux ran out of the lab tears streaming down her face, there was no one left. No one wanted her around. She was alone, again.

I guess I'll just walk the streets aimlessly.

And so Lux did she walked through the streets of Piltover kicking loose stones on the ground and humming a sweet but dark tune Jinx used to sing.

"Dear friends, across the river." She whispered as a single tear rolled down her cheek.

A shadow dashed past Lux leaving a pink glittering luminescent trail. Lux shuddered at the sudden movement and turned toward the direction of the shadow. It was like a beaming light dashing around the streets of Piltover. Like a dancing firefly showing off it's beauty and grace.

Lux danced around following the trail singing the words to Jinx's song.
