Severus followed them back to his office, Minerva following closely behind. There was a silence that hung in the air which made Severus uncomfortable. When they finally reached the gargoyle that stood guard in front of the headmaster's office, the eldest wizard spoke.

"Let us head inside, shall we? Raspberry Jam" he called out as the gargoyle jumped to life, stepping aside to allow entrance. Severus and Minerva rolled their eyes at each other over the ridiculous sugar obsession the old man had.

Dumbledore headed straight for his desk, taking a seat and gesturing for everyone else to join him. Minerva took a seat in one of the padded armchairs while Severus paced irritably.

"I thought we should start by speaking of last night. Have you gained any insight about the young Mister Korshunov?"

"It is my understanding he was sent back to his school," Severus snarled. He was disturbed to know what Ivan had threatened Olivia about regarding his own character; he was just pleased she didn't seem to understand his foreign tongue. It appeared Karkaroff had been informing his young assistant about his... previous duties, years ago.

"Ah yes, that is good to hear. And how is the dear witch? Coping well?" Dumbledore asked.

Minerva smirked as Severus shot her a warning glare. "It is my understanding that the poor thing spent the whole day in bed recovering from the previous evening, Albus". Severus' knuckles cracked as he balled them into fists at his side.

"Careful, Minerva. Severus' wand hand is twitching," Dumbledore teased.

"If that is all? I do have other pressing matters..." Snape grumbled.

"Oh, I'm sure you have matters you need to press, Severus," Minerva whispered. Severus rolled his eyes and huffed as he turned to leave.
