Emma and Killian wasted no time is running down to Main Street, well, what used to be Main Street, to see if anyone was there.

The town was absolutely empty. Not a soul could be seen, that was until Emma heard a high-pitched laugh from behind what was previously the clock tower.

Killian heard in too and put an arm in front of Emma, protecting her from whoever was there.

Of course, it was Rumplstiltskin.

However, he wasn't quite the Rumple that Emma had last seen. No, this Rumple had the scaly, yellow-tinged skin of the dark one. He had the slight wave in his hair that somehow terrified Emma. This wasn't the Rumplestiltskin she knew.

"Such a shame, eh, Dearie?" Rumple walked closer to Killian, who clenched his jaw at his approach.

"The entire town, everyone you've cared about... Gone. In an instant. All it took was destroying that well and then... Poof. Sudden and painless death," he continued, "However, I suppose there is one last person you care about. This lovely woman here, you care about her too, don't you?" At his words, Killian pulled Emma closer to him. He wrapped his arms around her tightly.

"What is it you want?" Killian demanded with an exasperated tone.

"Why, isn't it obvious, Captain? I want to destroy everything you have. I've nearly succeeded too. The saviour is but the last one standing," Rumplestiltskin's eyes narrowed when he looked at Emma. "Oh, but it seems there's two left standing. She's pregnant," he said matter-of-factly.

Killian arms tightened around Emma.

The Dark One laughed. "This should be fun..." He snickered before disappearing in a puff of red smoke.

"No..." Killian whispered.

"Come on," Emma took Killian's hand and started running down the street.

"What? Where are we going?" Killian asked, being shaken out of his stance.

"We're leaving the town. He can't hurt us if we leave. There's no magic in New York," Emma said, trying not to panic.

In record time, they arrived at what should have been Granny's, where there was a metal wreck that used to be Emma's bug.

Emma looked disappointed. "My car," she said sadly before waving her hand to repair it.

The couple got in the car and Emma waved her hand once again. "He can't see us. Invisibility spell," Emma explained, starting the car and driving toward the town line.

"Someone's been practicing," Killian remarked.

"It's all I did when you were gone. I needed a way to keep my mind off worrying. I didn't want to get stressed and hurt the baby," Emma said quickly.

"Swan, you're stressed right now," Killian put his hand on her arm gently.

Emma took a deep breath and hit the gas, making the car go even faster.

After a minute or two, they were approaching the town line.

"When we cross this thing, you sure as hell better still remember who you are," Emma warned.

Killian chuckled. "I could never forget you, Swan."

Emma took a deep breath as they crossed the line.

She looked over at Killian who smiled at her.

"I love you, Emma," he said warmly. Emma let out a breath.

"Thank god for that," she said under her breath.

Killian kissed her cheek and her eyes began to water.

"Emma, it's okay. We'll figure this out," he promised.

"I know, it's just that... This escape, it seemed too easy," Emma said, wiping away the tear.

"Maybe, after all we've had to deal with in the past few months, fate is giving us a break," he said.

"I'm the saviour. I never get a break," Emma sighed.

"Positive thinking, Swan," Killian said, rubbing her arm comfortingly.

"I just hope I can get my job back..." Emma muttered, turning a corner and running her car straight into a wolf.

Everything went black. Again.

So, yeah. I disappeared for a while. I don't know where I went, honestly. I've been so busy lately! But I hope you liked this chapter!
