The walls were clanging all night, but they weren't breaking no matter what, any attempt of escaping from this place would be immediately followed up by failure.
The Stegosaurus desperately tried to break down the walls using the thagomizer spikes located on it's tail, it keeps slamming it's tail at the wall but nothing seems to work.
As the night went on, the Stegosaurus was starting to tire itself out, the more it tried to break down the walls that were imprisoning it, the more it realized that there's no way that it's getting out of here since it's been doing this for hours and nothing has changed.
It's tail was also starting to weaken because of this, they weren't designed to bash on walls for hours and hours especially metal ones like these, it might not even have enough strength to survive what's coming.
As the herbivore was breathing heavily, the creature who was locked in a nearby cage watched in amusement, it thought that the Stego was stupid to think that it could possibly escape from here, of course it's not surprising why it would do something so foolish since this creature has heard that these herbivores have small brains, and with brains as small as theirs it's not hard to believe that they'd do something like this.
"Oh, pipe down over there, you're not even going to get out of here so it's best that you just wait until I get released and once that's over with you can finally be free, in the afterlife" the creature laughed.
This monster made sure to behave because if it didn't it would probably be punished by it's creators, but at the same time it's just biding it's time, waiting until it can tear into that dinosaur.
In fact depsite it being told to behave, in truth, it really can't contain it's lust for blood, after all it was a predator and all predators need to hunt something especially a predator as large as this one.
It was getting as impatient as the Stegosaurus at that point, it wanted to kill it so bad that it started drooling at the mouth desperately trying to stop itself from misbehaving.
"Calm yourself down, they'll let you massacre it eventually, you just need to wait for a few more hours then you'll get what you want" the creature told itself.
Drool started to drip down to the floor as the creature was pacing around it's cage, trying to get it's mind off the Stego so it can calm down but whatever it tried to do, it couldn't ignore the herbivore, it wondered what that thing tasted like since it's never eaten live prey so what if this tastes better than the usual meat that people often serve it?
The Stego backed away, it didn't know what to do at that point since it was getting tired, but it doesn't want to sleep since if it does then it won't be able to defend itself once that monster gets out.
Why did it had to end up in a place like this? It was just travelling with it's herd a few days ago before being captured, and now it's nothing more than a test subject just waiting to be used, it doesn't even know what it's up against, it's seen a Tyrannosaurus before but whatever this creature was it surely wasn't one of them, from the darkness of the predator's cage it could barely make out the monster's appearance.
The only thing it saw were it's legs and the lower jaw which was filled with drool, it's clear that this dinosaur was getting impatient and the Stego is sure of it that once it gets released, the herbivore might not have enough strength in order to fight it.
What was this thing? It surely wasn't anything it had seen before, even though the mouth was covered in drool it could see the monster's teeth and they were very odd looking, all of them were uneven and crooked, it almost looked like it got punched in the mouth by something else but what the Stego doesn't know is the fact that at least for that predator, that's how it's teeth are supposed to look.
