Whistleblowers (Epilogue)

The elevator to the Electrical Room opened up as the troops entered in search of the fugitives. There were only six of them while most of the others were taken to hunt down the hybrids, little did they know barely any of them would be coming back after that event.

A troop at the front gestured for the others to follow. All but one was holding a tranquilizer gun since Gustavus said he wanted these men to be taken back alive. Although there was one who was holding an AK-47 just in case if they need to resort to more drastic measures.

They started to spread out to cover more ground. The place was like a maze but they really had no choice, it was either they did what was asked of them or they would get the same treatment meant for the people they're hunting.

Some of the troops began to form small teams, two of them were on the left side of the room, checking each and every crevice while three of them were checking the other side. The one holding the AK-47 was investigating the middle row to look for anything that'll hint to the location of their targets.

The one in the middle row wonders if Gustavus is going to hand out something to him once this is all over. Maybe a promotion of some kind, would be nice if he would be generous enough to do something of the sort.

All he does most of the time is just stand and look. That goes for most of the troops who are just guards meant to watch over the paddocks. The only time where they don't have to do this is during the break session where they can get some food before going back to work.

It was an exhausting process, but it does pay fairly well so he can excuse having to stand in a corner not really doing much all day.

Something out of the blue caught his eye. One of the switchboard panels had what looked to be scratches. And they weren't random either, it looked like something was in here and whatever it was had scratched the panel.

Taking in a closer look, he could see that there were three "Claw marks" on the sides of the panel. He couldn't see anything wrong with the interior of the panel but the outer layer was damaged.

Whatever it was that got inside of here must've had a reason as to why it slashed the panel. And if so, what did get in here? None of the smaller paddocks were open to their knowledge, and the hybrids are way too big to fit in here. That's not even mentioning that they already left and they wouldn't have known about this place.

The troop had a theory that could explain this. Considering the amount of classified creatures that have been revealed as of late such as the hybrids, he wouldn't be surprised if Biosyn or more specifically, Gustavus were still hiding something from the staff. And it's possible that something got out way before the hybrids did, it's the only explanation he could think of as to why nobody noticed this thing.

But then another problem arises to mess with his theory. If it was a dinosaur that did this, how did they get into the Electrical Room? It's not like this place had multiple entrances or exits, there's only one and that's through the elevator so unless this creature is smart enough to know how elevators work there's no way a dinosaur could've gotten into here without somebody saying something about it. The cameras should've caught something if there was one that got in here.

Although, that's not to say they have no intelligence at all when it comes to interacting with humans creations. InGen's Velociraptors were so observant that they have shown that they are very capable of opening doors. It's an odd thing to think about when talking about an animal but it has happened.

Still, it wouldn't explain how that creature got in here. A Velociraptor may be knowledgeable enough to open doors but can they operate buttons? And to add to that, there are no Velociraptors in this facility. They don't even have a theropod small enough to get in here. The smallest they have in this facility are the Metriacanthosaurus that they captured and they are far too big to fit in that elevator and have hands that are too small to damage the panel.
