AUGUST 8 (7:30 PM)

"Yes, Ramsay, why have you called me?" Lewis said through Cole's phone.

"Let's just say there are two people you need to talk to." Ramsay replied.

"Can you just get to the point? I don't have much time for this." Lewis said impatiently.

"Very well, boys, why don't you tell him yourselves." Ramsay then pointed the phone's screen at Gustavus and King.

Both Gustavus and King had their eyes widen with fear. Ramsay was willing to go this far to protect one person? This was even worse than King thought it was, not only does he have to deal with their plan being ruined but now their boss is getting involved with the matter as well.

Though they don't talk too much, they are very aware of some of the things this man has done, and they wouldn't want to cross whatever lines he has place or else it might be the last thing they do.

"You heard him didn't you? He doesn't have much time to waste on us so you better get to it quick." Ramsay requested.

"Me. Why me? Why did I of all people get partnered with this imbecile?!" If King could kill Gustavus he wouldn't care about the consequences, they're in this situation because of him.

King is a man who doesn't make mistakes too often since he's one of the best mercenaries in the entire company but if there was one major mistake he did make, it's trusting someone like Gustavus to be able to keep something like a gun threat a secret and get away with it.

When he makes mistakes, he usually brushes it off as if it didn't happen because the things that he did that were considered mistakes were nothing more than minor inconveniences to him, but this wasn't one of those situations.

His life is barely hanging onto a thread, one wrong move and that thread will break. Lewis doesn't even need to be in the room himself, he can just order fire and brimstone on both these two from a distance without moving a finger.

"Get on with it and stop wasting my time, what did you two numbskulls do?" Lewis sounded like he was in a hurry, perhaps he had a project he was working on and wanted it to be finished as fast as possible.

"W-we threatened a geneticist with a gun because he told us to retreat from a dinosaur battle. The man was Dr. Levine." Gustavus hesitantly responded.

We? What does he mean we?!

It was him, it was all him. He was the one who pointed a gun to Richard's head, King had no involvement in that, if anything he actually agreed with Richard.

King thought the reason why he didn't simply say he did it on his own was because he wanted his ship to go down with King in it, if he was going to be blamed for this then so should King. If that was the case, then King hopes something or someone will rid Gustavus from this world, nothing has gone right since Ramsay found out and by the looks of it, things will only get worse.

"I see, tell me, what kind of idiotic thought went through your mind in order to form that kind of solution, I would like to know." Lewis ordered.

"I-i just thought it would've been the best way to make him shut up, that's basically what it was." Gustavus replied.

"Hmm, yes, and what do you think this was? A movie? That geneticist has achieved more than you will in your lifetime considering he brought back a creature who was dead for three years. Do you not see how useful he is?" Lewis questioned.

While Ramsay was liking that Gustavus and King were in fear, what he didn't like was how Lewis spoke about Richard.

He sees the man as nothing more than a tool. He didn't even acknowledge him as a human being, rather he spoke about him as if he was a piece on a gameboard.
