It's amazing what you do
To me, the world, with your bending truths
& I with dewy eyes,
Ever confiding
In you
You ask to go on a walk,
And I jumped up
Grabbing the umbrella, and
Water
I hold your hand, as you talk.
Lead me to a field of bloomed roses,
Say it's made for me and our noses.
You'd attract the bees with your honeyed tongue.
Now we descend into the forest
Your words echo like it was chorused,
Harmonic symphonies of promises young.
There I bid you to lead me on.
Hands grip tightly - patient for dawn
May the wolves howl, and dusk be grown
For a victim, death will not find
So long my lover's presence be known.
It's amazing what you do,
To keep me close but still far from truth
& leaving me wonderin'
With these dewy eyes
meant for you.
Lead me to a beach with no shelter,
Storm's at bay, I say let's take cover
Your tender aura and my umbrella now gone
Winds picking up speed and I'm stranded
Watching you run away as I'm abandoned
Charon now leading me to a deathbed drawn.
Silvered words of his have now rusted,
Dewey eyes have gone dry, though must it
Be due to the way that I
Trusted you?
