Goodbye to him-
Listener, I said "adieu"
Think I'm not serious?
No sir, I say we're through!
When he bats his eyes-
Devil! I said "adieu!"
Those glistening pearls-
Oh, by the count of two.
Now don't play me the fool!
I said now go, you tool!
Once again, I say "adieu!"
To dress him as my groom,
Would only serve my doom.
For a Devil man -
With a charmed tongue-
Has always warmed my tomb.
If it pleases your ear,
For your words have done mine,
That you of all men have clouded one mind.
For foggy thoughts is all I now hear.
With no remedy to break you-
And no entity to swap you-
Our flames have intertwined
And I with no mind to unwind.
& yet I still say "adieu!"
In hopes to liberate you.
But one thing that is true,
If you still wish to play my Groom,
At the altar I'll stand anew,
Waiting to say "I do."
