8: At dawn

Damn your bed is getting warm, did you buy a body heater or something. That can't be it, it's definitely something else. Opening your one eye, you begin to adjust to the light. Under you lies the one and only monkey king, his body heat making a great supply of warmth to you. His one hand was slunged lazily over your right shoulder, while the other had fallen on the floor due to the small width of a two man's couch. As much as you wanted to just fall asleep again, in this peaceful moment, your body had decided that you really needed to pee. Your bladder was not merciful at your incapability to move, and to not wake the male below you in doing so. Although shorter than you, he surprisingly didn't look at all bothered being below you. Slowly moving your arms to rest on either side of the monkey, you slowly stretch your arm, so you could get his arm off you. Because of gravity his arm slowly slid off you. Now it's just to get to the bathroom, looking around you definitely don't see an extra door that might be a bathroom. Deciding to walk to his room in the middle of his hut, it was a bit bigger than the living room but only by a bit. Looking for more doors you spot an extra one, that must be the toilet. Walking over to the door you grab the handle. The door giving a slight creek sound when moved, that wasn't creepy at all. Nevertheless, it revealed not a toilet but a supply closet. 'Is it that long since he cleaned for it to creak' closing the door, that creaked once again almost as a goodbye. You head to another door, hopefully this was the right option, would not want him getting ideas. Curiosity killed the cat, and you weren't up for being caught snooping around. Opening the door, you found what you had been looking for. A rather modest toilet, although monkey king has been isolated a lot, so it would make sense. It would do for now because your bladder wasn't waiting for you to come home. Closing the door behind you, you lock the door behind you and do your business.

Washing your hands, and then drying your hands in a towel after. You then walk out of the little toilet, turning off the light and closing the door as you go. You should probably head home soon; it always gets awkward in the mornings. 'Is monkey king even awaking yet?' Making your way back to the living room, you had originally slept in, you check for the male finding no sign of him there. 'I guess he is already up', walking around to the sofa, you grab your bag and decide that you probably will meet him on the way out. The walk outside was quiet except for the occasional animal noise that came from the outside. You could get used to this; it was really calming. It was understandable that Wukong liked it here. Must been nice place to grow up, before he went on his 10-year journey of immortality of course, and the whole journey to the west after. When you speak of the devil, he will appear. There was the male you were looking for "there you are Sunny, I thought you up a left for the mountains" you were joking about the last part, but with his somersaults he could get almost anywhere anyways. "Thought the same about you peaches, you weren't there when I woke up" he shot back, turning his head to reveal his toothy grin, fangs as always poking out. " I was out on a journey, to find the bathroom" you say casually to the ginger, sitting beside him you realize just how early in the morning it is. The hues in the sky above you were absolutely breathtaking, this was probably an indication that it was really early maybe around 5 in the morning, no 4? No matter what it was, it was early. "I should head home now Sunny; it was a fun movie night" you said looking over to look your friend in the eyes. "No problem y/n, we should do it again sometime, next time though we are going to watch monkey cop" you almost forgot you didn't watch that movie, falling asleep before the first movie finished was a good move. Watching two movies in one night was not the best when you have to work today. "Sure Sunny, just call me" waving and giving a smile you begin your way home. Luckily it wasn't the biggest problem to get through the waterfall, and it's also nice when it mostly goes downhill home. Waving goodbye to some monkeys walking by you continue your journey, enjoying the morning scenery in front of you. Finding your scooter where you left it the other night you take off, ready to start the day and maybe show Mk your cool scooter. The air was freezing, it was a good plan to make that wind shield in the scooter. The morning sky was absolutely gorgeous in the skies, maybe you would invite the others to see the sunset together, maybe even Macaque would join. Who knows he shouldn't even appear before episode 9, maybe it was because of the butterfly effect. Good thing you haven't slipped up yet about the whole knowing the future, it would certainly not seem so. Megapolis was now under you its lights shining over the morning sky, maybe you would come up in the sky for this as well. If it weren't for the gas prices. Taking a piece of gum into your mouth you brace for the slight jet lag you might get. Despite your inexperience with flying vehicles your landing was quite smooth, nothing major happened and no loss of items. A win in your book, pressing the land button your trusty scooter becomes more normal looking. Looking at the time in your phone before continuing the drive, you surprisingly are still in time. Then its phone in pocket and on with the day. Pretty sure you saw that weird bird again, maybe you should ask someone if its normal to that big of a bird in the middle of the city. No more time for bird watching, you have a job after all. Pigsy would go kill you, if the reason you of all people were late was because of a bird. Rest of the way was just enjoying the great city; I mean who wouldn't. Pigsy was luckily in a good mood today, and your arrival wasn't late. All worked out and you began to make your uneventful workday. Macaque had once again not ordered anything, maybe something was up.
