Not mentioning your friend was easy enough, you were already not doing it. The real thing that had been bothering was your lover. Despite your emails, he hasn't been responding as much, ironic because you had done the exact same thing. You had decided not to mention it, too afraid to look like a hypocrite, instead you distracted yourself with work, and hanging out with Mei. In the back of your mind, you couldn't help but be anxious. "You sure about this (Y/N)? Haven't ya' been on a lot of extra work lately even when you shouldn't have a shift that day" Pigsy says as he looks at you eyebags. You hadn't been able to sleep much these past days, you had a feeling something bad was going to happen. The worse part was that you were beginning to forget the event timeline of the show. Grabbing your keys, you sluggishly move to the garage, you wondered what Mei was up to. Debating on whether or not to send her a text, you thought about depressingly waiting for Wukong to respond you shiver slightly and decide to give her a SMS. Taking out your phone, you find Mei in your contacts

(Y/N)

Yo, are you up for hanging out today?

...

...

...

No response huh, you put your phone in your pocket and go to your scooter to start the workday. Anything really, to calm your nerves.

Deliver, return, receive, Deliver, return, receive, Deliver, return, receive, Deliver, return, receive, eat, Deliver, return, receive, Deliver, return, receive, Deliver, return, receive, free time......

Maybe Mei had responded, checking your phone you see one new message.

(Y/N) seen 8:00

Yo, are you up for hanging out today?

Mei 15:47

Sorry (Y/N) I got a few things to do... maybe next time!

Oh, damn guess you were alone again, better answer her then....

(Y/N) 8:00

Yo, are you up for hanging out today?

Mei 15:47

Sorry (Y/N) I got a few things to do... maybe next time!

(Y/N) 16:20

Nah its cool, another time girl

Putting your phone away you begin to walk into the main room of Pigsy's cozy shop. Too exhausted to talk with more people, you throw your keys at its holder and it somehow landing on its place. You head up the stairs groaning halfway because you forgot to take your shoes off. In the end you just slip them off and carry the in your room saying you'd do it the next morning. Hopefully your roomie wouldent mind too much. Opening the door, you throw the shoes off somewhere in the room and practically sumo slam your bed. Groaning a bit again at having nothing to do you roll over to stare at the ceiling. Staring at the walls, you think, it was really boring. Not to mention the ruckus that had happened, you were too tired to check on it. You were getting a bit sleepy aswell, closing your eyes you tried to fall asleep only to hear yet another crash, adding to the weird ruckus. You decided that despite your tired state you were going to check what was happening, since sleep wasn't an option. Slowly pulling yourself up to check on the whole ordeal. Only to walk out with Mk on the ground and Mei being there. 'so this was what all this noise was' looking up you see a big demon just standing there. Walking cautiously closer to Mei the one that was still standing as well as Sandy. "Uhhhh what's happening?" you ask, the two. Mei was the first to look at you, looking slightly worried. "Oh! (Y/N), nothing to see here just a giant monster, you should probably head back inside" she says quickly giving an awkward smile. "Why, I wasn't doing anything" you say, not really wanting to go back inside, you stick your hands into your pockets, as you stare at the huge thing. "Well, you know, you are kind of... normal... and we wouldent want you to get hurt" Mei explains trying not to hurt your feelings. 'Ouch...' is all you could think, getting indirectly called weak isn't everyday and that hurt your self-esteem. "Whatever, bye" you say avoiding eye contact. You spin you heels and go in the wrong direction, trying to not remind yourself your friends think you are weak. You didn't feel like staying in your bed anymore and be pathetic, so instead you head into the shop and grab your jacket and headphones, deciding to go on a long walk. You could head to the park; it was at least pretty and maybe it would lighten your mood. The walk was long and slow, looking at various neon signs while walking, halfway through you played a game about how many red or blue neon's there were. You had written to Mei halfway through the walk about whether or not it went well, but unsurprisingly she had not responded yet. First your lover ignored you and now one of your close friends, isn't that just great. The park was rather devoided of colors, almost like it had to fit your current mood. You found an empty bench to sit on and just look at the sky's blue colors, and different shaped clouds. It entertained you for a moment, but then one looked a lot like a peach and suddenly the game wasn't as entertaining as before. Instead, you moved your eyes to the park, and its different colors that still was there. There were not many people in the park besides you, you could see maybe one elderly couple on another bench and then a few kids playing. You knew you should be grateful; you had a famous lover and great friends. Something inside you was just not there, you couldn't help but think back to the shadow play. You somehow related to his story now, being around friends with great power and you being normal. You should have written some powers in when you shifted; you hate being a liability for you friends. You couldn't help but feel hurt, was it wrong? You could never quite answer that, but you did not want to admit that maybe you were being selfish. Wukong probably has a lot on his plate, and maybe Mei was just looking out for you. You just hated the thought of not being able to help, even if you wanted to. You wouldent be able to control the situation. You did not want to be more sad than you already were about it but what were you going to do, ignore it that's the easy answer at least. The park did not help, so you somberly decided to just go home. You wanted to go through the back door so no one would notice you.
