Monday. The worst day of the week in my opinion, the start of a new adventure further known as hell. "Vivian, please just let us talk to you." Julie pleaded as I finished tying my shoes.
"Right, so you guys can lie to my face some more. You would sure like that wouldn't you." I then stood up and threw my bag over my shoulder. "You can't join the Varsity team, they're assholes." She argued.
"I've made up my mind, I'll see you later." I then walked out of the room. "Hey." Rick turned the corner and began walking beside me. "My coach said he and Coach Orion want to talk to you." He then blurted. "Why?" I gave him a confused look. He shrugged his shoulders then walked away.
The cold breeze hit me as I walked out of the dorm building. After walking for a few minutes I made it to the entry for the rink. I walked into Coach Orions office, him and the other Coach stood there. "Hello." I greeted.
"Hello Mrs. Price." The other Coach, Coach Wilson. "You can sit down." Orion spoke pointing to the chair sat in front of his desk. I nodded my head and sat down, "So what was the point in all this?" I asked looking between the two of them.
"So you want to join the varsity." Coach Wilson began, "The team thinks it's a marvelous idea, and so does Ted here." He finished. Orion nodded his head, "You'll have a great opportunity on that team, you're an amazing player." Orion added.
"Thank you." I replied. "We've already changed your schedule, practice is after 3rd period." Coach Wilson explained. "I've already taken the liberty of getting you a jersey, and your practice jersey." He said handing the two to me.
"Number 24 was taken, so I hope number 17 treats you well." I lifted up the jersey, the big broad 17 printed in the back, 'Price' right above it. "Thank you sir." He nodded his head. "I'll see you at practice." He then patted my shoulder and left the room.
I began stuffing my jersey in my bag. "Hold on a minute." Orion spoke. "What's up?" I questioned. "What happened between you and the team?" He asked. I sighed and put my bag on the ground. "They betrayed me, they all lied to my face and I was done." He nodded his head.
"Well I hope to see you come visit me once in a while, considering you're the only one on the team who appreciates my methods and doesn't complain about how Bombay did it." I let out a small laugh.
"I wasn't to fond of Bombay." He smiled. "Don't be late to class now. I returned the smile and walked out of his office. I walked into the school and was immediately greeted by Guy and Charlie. "What do you guys want?" I asked opening up my locker.
"We're sorry okay, just don't join the varsity team we need you!" Charlie exclaimed. I grabbed my books, "You guys are pathetic you know!" I slammed my locker shut. "You're not even sorry for lying to my face, you guy just want me so you can win your games!"
They looked down ashamed, "I'll see you guys around." I then walked into my class and took my seat. Luis then sat down next to me, "Hi." He spoke. I ignored him then opened up my text book. "Can we talk please." His voice was stern.
"No Luis, you blew it for yourself. Keep your dignity." I replied tears forming in my eyes. Class then started, tons of work per expected. As soon as the bell rung I rushed out of the class. "Hey." Finn waited beside my locker.
I nudged my head up at him, tears still in my eyes. I exchanged my books then shut my locker, "What's wrong?" He asked. "Luis, he um cheated on me." I replied. His face dropped, "Im so sorry." He then pulled me into a hug.
"How about we skip this class?" He suggested. "It's a stupid class, no one needs parental stuff and the teacher doesn't even do attendance." He explained. I nodded my head, "Let's go outside shall we?" We then walked outside.
