Me and Luis woke up due to me getting a phone call at 1 am. "Hello?" I spoke my voice low groggy. "Vivian." Joshs voice rang through the phone. "Josh, hey what's wrong?" I questioned sitting up in my bed. Luis was looking at me confused.

"Uh the ambulance woke me up." He stated. My heart plummeted. "Wait what?" My voice was jumped back but the tone was concerned. "The ambulance, they're at your house." My eyes widened. "I'll call you back." I then hung up on him and quickly dialed my home phone.

The other line picked up. "Hello." My mom stated. "Mom." I spoke. "Hey honey." She sadly spoke. "What's wrong? Why did Josh call me saying the ambulance is there." I frantically replied. "Your father had another heart attack." She calmly said.

"Is be okay?" I questioned. "We don't know, he was unresponsive." "How are you so calm?!" I yelled. "Vivian, I'll call you in the morning I have to ride with them to the hospital, bye I love you." She then hung up the phone before I could reply.

I sat there in my bed, numb. "Vivian what's wrong?" Luis voice was faint even though he was right there. "My dad, he had another heart attack and he was unresponsive." I bluntly stated. Luis' face dropped and he immediately pulled me into a hug.

I didn't hug him back, I just sat there. Numb. "Are you okay?" He questioned. "I don't know." I replied. "Let's try to get some sleep okay?" Luis then laid back down and I laid next to him. Then the emotion hit, I began crying.

"Hey it's okay." Luis rubbed my back as I cried into the crook of his neck. "It's okay." He reassured. After 5 minutes of crying I fell asleep, it was like the nights after my accident. I couldn't fall asleep unless I cried myself to sleep, the feeling of weakness takes over.

The next morning I got up and immediately decided to go see Han's. I skated over to his house quicker than usual. "Hans!" I yelled outside his door. "Shit, key under the mat." I then lifted up the mat and grabbed the spare key.

"I'm coming in Hans so." I then opened up the door and walked in. That's when I saw him, his lifeless body on his chair. My heart plummeted, "Hans?" I ran over to him and checked his pulse. "No, no, I can't lose you too." I spoke my voice quivering.

"Please." I ran over to the phone and called 911. They arrived 10 minutes later, "He had a heart attack." One of the doctors explained. His body was getting carried out on a stretcher. "What was your relation to this man?" "He was a close friend." I replied.

"Well why don't you head on home." The doctor told me. I nodded and began skating back to the school. I ran up the stairs and burst through my dorm door, "Hey what's wrong?" Luis asked. "Hans is dead." I stated. Luis immediately got up and hugged me.

"Did you find him?" He questioned. "Yeah." I stated. He comforted me throughout the day and eventually everyone on the team found out.

As the days went by I was a mess. The phone rang on a Wednesday afternoon, "Hello?" I questioned. "Hey Vivian." Emerson sadly spoke. "Emerson?" I replied. "Hey." Her tone slightly cheered up. "Hey, what's up?" I asked.

"Um, dads not gonna make it." My heart sank,
just like it did days before. "No, no. He has to!" My voice shook. "Vivian listen, he wants to talk to you before everything." "I don't understand, it was just a heart attack." She didn't reply instead a new voice responded.

"Hey champ." My dads voice, deep and weak rang. "Dad, what's happening?" I questioned. "Turns out I have CHD." "What's that?" I asked. "Coronary Heart Disease, I've had it for about 20 years they guessed." He replied. "So how's that gonna kill you?"

"My arteries in my heart can't deliver enough oxygen-rich blood to my heart, so my hearts basically failing as we speak." I sighed. "So why do you have to pull the plug now?" I asked. "Because, as the months go past my heart attacks are only gonna get worse and they don't accept me to go on much longer."
