What happened how did Arthur move so fast and precisely, his movements were always sharp but not like this, this was different.

My chest I felt something, my chest plate! How was this possible, the sword would shatter before it could go through the armor but, it also trickled a bit of clothe underneath, just how much mana did he put in the sword, no I myself was covered in mana, it would be impossible given the amount of mana left in him, he would have been knocked out because of mana discharge due to performing such a move...

But he was standing ,quite far away from me, how did he get there and how was his mana pool barely affected after the attack.

"Don't be so dumb Leywin, you brat has learned the first steps of the flowing fist, I could recognize it anywhere even if it was a cheap knockoff version of it" Dr trisk stated.

When did Arthur learn this technique, no wonder he spent all his allowance on fighting books, the amount knowledge has allowed him to surpass me, it's truly unbelievable.

"Arthur is this true, you are also following the way of the flowing fist" I asked

"this was my first time properly using it in a battle, your insight helped me to make my body one with the sword to be able to carry out this first move which is supposed to be easy but I had a hard time grasping" he answered.

I was somewhat happy that as a father I was able to provide him with something valuable, or else he seemed to get everything he wanted to know from those books.

"Son, when I came here I knew two things, one you will show me your true potential in inferno and magic without holding back, two you would be able to go toe to toe with me, even if you weren't I would have still allowed you to take the test, but not only you surpassed my expectations but showed you had another ace up your sleeve... I am truly proud and impressed of the man you are becoming Art-" tears filled up in my eyes as I realized Arthur will definitely pass that test and will be away from home, hell he didn't even use his whole arsenal of powers rather he took a gamble with me that smart son of bit- probably shouldn't say that. My moment of admiration for my son was interrupted from my son hugging me, as he burst into tears.

My wife joined us from behind crying as well, we all were crying, with joy and happiness, I had never though I would be such a happy man with such an extra ordinary and loving family. Seeing our moment helen also let a few tears loose, while jasmine was immediately turned towards the fence probably hiding her tears, typical jasmine, it would be difficult for her after being abandoned by her father to see such a family moment.

Arthur noticed Jasmine standing away too, and asked everyone to join in on the hug, jasmine was last one to come as she made sure no one saw her coming, my soon was a true gentleman to not point out only jasmine to join instead made everyone come together, he truly was my son.

"Huh.. there you all are, what's going on?!" Adam interrupted the moment as Durden sprinted in to join the hug making everyone fall over and burst into laughter.

Arthur Leywin's P.O.V.

The twin horns had left to get some work done in the city, it was a beautiful evening the sunset was visible from the lavish garden in front of our house, me my mom and dad sat there watching the sunset, we didn't say anything but that was it, the silence was perfect for this moment, I wanted to spend as much time with my parents as I could as I know I cant leave with regret oof knowing and missing them every now and then I had to focus there, earlier we had discussed that I would stay until this months end, and while training there I would visit three months for 5 days, which I negotiated from a very drastic and biased proposal from mom. I couldn't blame her I didn't know what it was to have a son, but it was important for me to get stronger.

As we were packing up our little picnic, we saw the twin horn's carriage heading our way so we waited for a ride along.

After getting in it was Helen who spoke to me.

"Hey Arthur, I know you haven't had the chance to get a sword for yourself, so we thought" she said while pointing towards jasmine who was looking out of the carriage, "to get you a sword but didn't know which one you would like, so we got you a huge coupon for one best sword shops in here" she ended still pointing towards jasmine.

"Think of it as a little gift from us for your great journey ahead" Dr Trisk said.

"Don't forget us once you become a super-duper mage kiddo" Durden told.

"How could I ever forget my big strong uncle" I replied.

"Hey-!" before Adam could argue jasmine smacked him from ruining the moment.

"you guys didn't have to do that, oh my, the amount in this coupon is too much we can't accept this" my replied

"don't worry we all chipped in and some of us had a bigger share than others" Helen said again pointing to jasmine.

I accepted the coupon and said "thank you everyone for this wonderful gift I will be sure make good use of it" while looking at jasmine who then went on to say.

"I am expecting a rematch after you get back, you used a petty trick to get me, it won't work again" she stated.

"Anything for you miss Jasmine" I teased but this she really smiled, not hiding but smiled, this was a bigger achievement than any of my feats up till now.

Everyone was shocked to see her smile but not saying anything to make the smile go away as they know it hadn't been there for a while, even Adam of all people understood this.

After we got back and had dinner the twin horns were preparing to leave except Dr trisk of course as she was going to take me to the elf kingdom, I was still curious about her, despite her being my mom's oldest friend, they even stuck together during the war I knew there was something about her, more than that meets the eye.

She caught me staring at her and said, "Be more subtle art, despite your looks and feats you won't get girls with that cold gaze of yours"

"Who says I want to pursue a girl" I replied.

"Playing for the other team huh" she teased.

"NO,NO,NO *cough* not that there's anything wrong with that but I am sure I do not "play for the other team"" I replied a bit flustered.

"I know, its obvious how you look at Jasmine admiring her beauty" she teased.

"What no, ew, you shouldn't be allowed to talk to kids"

"What there's nothing wrong with admiring natural beauty, besides even I envy her looks sometimes" she replied.

"Oh, please I'm sure with your—" I caught myself, what a true idiot I am still getting flustered around woman.

"See not a normal kid, are you?" she told with a smirk on her face.

I immediately left the room to go for fresh air as my cheeks started turning red. After walking for 10 minutes I had arrived at "the" crater, I went inside the crater and put my hand against the rough earth I had formed, this once in a gazillion chance of happening incident had given me many answers to be able to reach where I am today, but also came with as many questions, how did I survive that lightning strike, even filled with mana it should be impossible, how did I heal so immediately, I still couldn't heal nearly as fast I did back then, I doubt anyone could, what was the purple orb I saw before passing out, but I knew these were questions I didn't have the capacity yet to answer, I needed to get stronger, far much stronger to answer these questions, I somehow knew this, call it instinct.

I sat there meditating and remembering the day I awakened, that's when I had an epiphany, I had finally realized why I had access to so many elements!
