Initiation

Arthur Leywin's P.O.V.

With a tingling warm feeling enveloping me, I felt my eyes open up, my vision still blurry, I rubbed my eyes and tried to focus, I saw a huge arch-like ceiling above me, when I shifted my head from right to left I realized I wasn't in my dorm room, there was a lot of beds, I think I was in the sick bay, or whatever it was called here, I saw a rather old nurse was at the desk opposite to my bed, preparing some medicines.

The last thing I remember is i was leaving the director's office feeling dizzy and light headed, before the hallway i was in started to become a tunnel and slowly faded away, Elijah must have brought me here.

Taking off the sheet on me I stood up and stood beside the large window taking in the sunrise while shifting mana inside me to warm my body up.

"Oh, you are up!" I heard the nurse say.

"Yes, thank you for treating me, if you don't mind I will be leaving" I answered while walking towards the door.

"Hold your horses, child" the nurse said, grabbing me by the arm.

"You took more than double the dosage of pure valerian roots required for a mage of your age, your whole system might be shaken up, especially your cognitive ability," she said while dragging me back to my bed.

"I can assure you I am completely fine, I am feeling even better than yesterday" I replied, talking about how my headache was gone.

"I know you are excited to attend your lectures, but you won't be able to learn anything while you feel dizzy" she went on.

"what do I have to do to show you I am completely fine?" I asked, a bit annoyed.

"Sleep 8 more hours" she said while pushing me on bed.

"Besides you don't wanna seem like a fool in practical classes, you wont be able to cast any spells," she explained.

"How long before the classes start?" I asked, as I felt Sylvie had noticed I woke up.

"30 mins or so, but don't you even think abou-" she answered, where I interrupted her by casting a small wind spell and coating my arm in earth, double casting should have been enough proof to show I was fine, regardless of the spell's strength.

"Oh dear" she let out in shock, "It doesn't make sense"

"I think I didn't have the stronger dosage, it's the only sensible answer, anyways thank you again for treating me," I said as I took off for the door.

'Papa, you are awake!' Sylvie sent.

'Yes, Sylv sorry about dinner' I sent back

'it's fine, I ate four eyes's food' she sent.

'I will come back and freshen up, then we go to classes' I sent back.

'You study, I will sleep' she sent yawning, was she awake the whole night?

After a quick shower and change of clothes I did some stretches to free my body, although I didn't eat dinner last night, I wasn't that hungry, it would be great if I could have gotten some exercise in before school tho.

Preparing to go to classes, I noticed Sylvie was already asleep, I didn't wanna wake her as I felt guilty about her worrying and not being able to sleep, so I decided to let her rest and I will treat her to a lot of meat after my classes.

"Oh, you are back? Shouldn't you be resting?" I heard Elijah speak as he entered the dorm.

"Did you have breakfast, at least could have taken Sylvie" I said firmly.
