The director had finally left the Helstea mansion after discussing a few things with my parents, I was glad I didn't have to talk about my way of the fists and my ice magic to convince her.

My plan to have Elijah along with me worked perfectly, I still had to break the news to him, hence I decided to grab him from upstairs and tell him about it over breakfast.

Breakfast

"WWHHHAATTTT?!" Elijah blurted half his food out as I explained to him what had happened.

"You are telling me you knew nothing of this until today morning and devised that plan of including me in your deal in such a small time frame?!" he looked at me skeptically.

"well... I couldn't leave you behind with my family, I don't trust you that much" I replied with a wink.

"Sure sure, making such one-sided deals with the director of the most prestigious academy with just a few minutes of thinking, you truly are the devil reincarnate" he blabbered while eating with a dumbfound expression on his face.

'I guess he isn't wrong about that', I thought to myself.

"Any which way, miss goodsky told me that we might be targeted for having received special treatment, and also the fact we aren't nobility doesn't help our case, so I am giving you a heads up, not that you can't overwhelm the other students but try not to engage too much with the snobby rich brats, they tend to make you a target" I explained to him.

"Yeah yeah I know all that, although I doubt you would have trouble settling in with the girls given your god-sent features," he said while finishing his food.

"Do I smell envy?" I said with a smirk also finishing my plate.

"How about a little spar before the announcement?" he asked.

"I am sorry maybe tomorrow I have some important work with Mr.helstea" I replied remembering we were departing today to meet the great artificer before the announcement

I will be directly skipping to the school arc, everything that happened in the meanwhile will be canon, he meets Gideon gets artifacts gives blueprints, goes to the announcement and gets humbled by the reality check in regards to the lances, next is Ellie's bday party where he gets bothered by Gideon, then the factory of the ship where he receives the artifacts which hides two of his elemental affinities. And the encounter with the teacher outside

After Elijah endlessly bickering me to get ready, we were finally on our way to the academy, I was slightly excited by the idea of meeting Tess after all this time, I was mostly excited to learn about mana as a scholar mage, but given it's the first day of school there probably won't be any classes.

After a short ride in the carriage we arrived at the academy, as we got off and started walking towards the ceremony, I realized I was still a bit tired, I had only gotten 12 hours of sleep in 3 days, and even Elijah so unpleasantly woke me up today, although I'm not tired as I thought I would be, I hope there aren't going to be any physical activities today, I thought as I entered the building, I and Elijah got in line for the attendance.

"Elijah knight battle mage candidate, an affinity for Earth element," the receptionist said.

"Here is your seat number" she handed him a small piece of paper with a number written on it.
