Realmheart

I had pushed my body to its limit, maybe a little more, hence I did need to rest but I didn't trust the dragon as much as Virion, idk why he trusted the dragon so much and what did he mean when he said deity.

Both the dragon and Virion had dozed off, I spent 2 hours integrating mana with my body, there was rich mana in the atmosphere so I also did 2 hours of meditating, I was exhausted after all this hence I decided to rest for a while too.

As I woke up I saw Virion was still asleep, he must be exhausted after fighting with the drago- where is the dragon, I thought as I saw it blissfully sitting on the other side, almost as majestic as before, but it had lost its glow, i didn't know what exactly but something was wrong.

"You didn't sleep long" it spoke.

"I wasn't that tired" I replied.

"I can see that, your body is not normal compared to an average human of your age" she replied looking at me.

"I had to train it in a specific way I devised due to my early awakening" I explained.

"Interesting, anyways, my name is Sylvia, and yes I am a dragon" she said almost as if reading my thoughts.

"M-MY name is Arthur Leywin, I am a human" I replied.

"Your use of mana is intriguing, Arthur, the way you used the lightning and controlled it while it coalesced and conjured around you, its something not many are capable of" she commented.

"I know but I can only do so in that state you saw me in, realmheart you said was its name, I cant hold that form for long so I use it as a last resort" I replied.

"From what I saw is that you lack two things, one is obviously knowledge of Realmheart, second is a mana technique which enhances the ability of someone especially with Realmheart" she explained.

"How do you know so much? Who exactly are you?" I asked curious.

"Those question are pointless, come here let me show you the latter part of my explanation as that might be the only thing you can grasp right now" she defended the question.

Setting aside my suspicions I approached her, as I was desperate for answers about this ability of mine, she then asked my to watch here as she moved around from one place to another, I didn't notice anything before i coated my eyes with mana, she was absorbing mana while moving, how was that possible, the concentration required to absorb atmospheric mana required one to sit down in a meditative pose.

"With this, you will be more in sync with the mana around you, once you learn this technique you may be able to reach great heights and you stamina in battle will increase exponentially" she explained.

"teach me" I replied.

She went on to teach me how to use my inactive mana channels when I was augmenting myself, I didn't get it for a while, but I got the gist of it in an hour, but I still couldn't move around using this, It only helped with the concentration, I kept this up for hours every now and then checking on Virion's condition, he was fine just resting, I could now walk a little while absorbing mana, but in a few seconds my concentration broke, I needed time to get a hang of it, I didn't realize but I was exhausted doing this for hours, upon that I hadn't eaten for hours, Sylvia noticed my desperation and went to the other corner of the room and brought me a sack of something akin to fruits, but I could sense they had a lot of mana in them.

"If you can sense the mana in them the training is working nicely, the only reason you progressed so quick is because of your unusual body and access to Realmheart" she explained.

"Thank you for the meal" I said as I ate one fruit after the other, they weren't that delicious but I needed something in my stomach, also the mana in the fruit was pure, getting absorbed in my core, it helped relieve the tension in my core.

"I am sorry, would you like some" I said as I noticed Sylvia staring at me smiling,

"I think I will be fine, thank you though" she said as she went back to her place for resting, despite not having done anything she looked more tired than ever, after a great meal I decided I will let the mana settle in my body and rest also for a little while, and wake up Virion the next time I wake up myself, I saved some mana fruit for him as he would need the strength later.

I woke up to what seemed like a thunder like sound, as I opened my eyes I saw gramps had been knocked out on the floor, he laid there still barely breathing, at first I thought it was the dragon, but as the scene came more into focus I saw a black horned monster like creature,

Attacking the dragon from a distance, the injury of the dragon had worsened a lot, it seemed much weaker than before, it noticed I had woken up, as it's eyes noticed me a pulse energy emitted from her as her runes shone brighter and brighter, an amethyst purple glow radiating from her body almost weakly, the horned vicious creature had stopped his attacks, almost as if he stood still, that's when I noticed that his skin color was different almost if inverted, he had stopped, not only the attacks but entirely as if frozen, soon I noticed everything around had inverted in color too, everything except me and the dragon who had closed towards me while I was shocked by this phenomena.

"There isn't much time to explain but take the Virion with you to the teleportation gate, I will hold him off long enough" she said while giving my a nudge to my core, suddenly I again became overflowing with power as the runes etched across my body, it wasn't painful, it was as if my body was evolving, I felt the pain, it didn't hurt, it felt good, I wanted more. Just on that note whatever spell the dragon had casted had faded, everything returned to its normal color, the creature looked almost shocked, frustrated he approached the dragon, she let out a roar and knocked him back.

"GO NOW!"

As I went to pick up Virion I saw in his pouch there was a stone, it was glowing with every color that a person could think of, almost stopping to admire it but a huge explosion brought back my focus, picking up Virion I activated the flowing fist and made my way back full speed using wind mana to help reduce drag and push myself faster, my legs protested against this but I knew I could handle it, as we approached the gate I remembered Virion wasn't able to go through last time when we arrived, I stopped in front of it and tried passing my hand through, again it didn't work, we were trapped only if I had told her it wasn't working.

I could still feel the pressure of both of them fighting, tears filled my eyes, why was I getting so emotional over some mana beast I just met, all I knew I had to figure out a way to get out of here, Virion's condition was worsening, I reached for my core because I felt as if there were answers in it somewhere, i thought Sylvia had left something in there for me that would help me through this, a huge ball of energy exploded inside me as runes etched across my arms and face, only this time stronger and brighter, I could feel the increase in power, but I knew it didn't come without a cost, my body wasn't ready yet, to handle so much power, was this what the dragon meant.

I again reached for the gate only this time my runes got brighter as my hand was able to pass through, I enveloped myself in mana which I connected Virion to and coating him in it too, not sure if he was gonna be left behind or not, as we went through the gate I felt something disappear, not inside me but around me, I thought it was the effect of the teleportation gate, but something screamed inside me that it was her, I didn't want to believe it but it was true, her presence had disappeared, I screamed at top of my lungs.

"NNOOOOO!!" as were back in beast glades, the guards stared at me in shock as they hear my screams and sobs for her, why was I so attached was it something related to what she did to me before we left, my thoughts were interrupted by my face submerging into the ground as I fell in to the darkness.
