As I woke up my vision was blurry, all I saw was a taupe ceiling-like structure, in a few moments I felt a tinging pain in both my arms, it felt like there were 1000 needles pierced in both my arms, I tried to get up but failed, my core aching the most and near empty, I used a little mana from it to find the healing gems in my dimensional ring, my mom had used the cores I hunted my time as an adventurer to make them into makeshift healing gems, they couldn't restore my full health but would surely help a lot, I used two of the gems and the frostbites and burn-marks almost disappeared from my hands, I let out a breath of relief as my vision focused back in, I saw Elijah half asleep leaning against the wall, he was tired but not heavily wounded, he would survive, as I got up and turned around I saw Dawn's ballad sitting in the corner, relieved I didn't lose my best mate, I saw that my whole body was covered in bandages, it wasn't the best job but it sufficed. I tried to make sense of where we were, I put my hand on the wall of the dome and used the ambient mana to sense the surrounding, my body protested against this action, and I realized we were a few feet underground in a steel dome.

"Oh, so you can use Earth magic too now?" Elijah spoke from behind me almost spooking me.

"And you can use steel magic?" I replied with a question realizing this was a very strong steel dome.

"Well I am not very proficient in it but it's nothing compared to your arsenal of elements!" he replied almost surprised.

"I don't think this is a bad steel spell, it's quite strong if anything, and about how many elements you know of?" I replied as he sat there thinking for a moment before replying.

"Fire, lightning, Ice, Earth and I am guessing water too," he said in disbelief.

"Close, you missed wind," I said with a smirk as picked up dawns ballad.

"Wait! So you are a quadra elemental and with two deviants?!!!" he almost shouted.

"And here I thought I was an exception for my age"

A/N: the next parts are gonna be the same, they find Samantha and Sylvie comes, they go to the guild, the trial happens Arthur cuts a deal beforehand, and Elijah goes with them to Xyrus. If you guys want you can just read the og novel chaps.

I and Elijah finally reached Xyrus city, my family had recently been living with the helstea family as my father was the head of security, he was a pretty important person in Xyrus city now, The castle was huge and amazing but nothing compared to Virions castle, I was excited to be back and not have to go to dungeons anymore, I had planned on learning more about mana as my combat skills were at their peak right now, my father told Vincent helstea, the head figure of the family who I only met a couple of times had something for me. He felt as if he owed me a favour as I got him rare mana beast cores every time I returned home, he auctioned some off while most he gave to his daughter who had had a hard time being a mage but due to the cores, she was above average now.

My carriage stopped at the front of the castle's entrance, the carriage was courtesy of Mr Helstea, he was very curious about my abilities and always wanted to see them, but had been very busy with work the times I came to visit, I honestly preferred it that way as I didn't want the attention.

Although I was curious about how he was going to help me learn more about magic, I had mentioned this at a family dinner the last time I visited and my mom wrote me about this in a letter, excited to further discuss this I took out the last piece of baggage from the carriage and along with Elijah, I headed inside.

Upon opening the door I found my mom running behind Ellie to make her try some ugly sweaters, my dad instructing some guards his back faced to me, Lilia's mom sat on an armchair watching and lightly laughing as my mom caught Ellie, I couldn't help but let out a stifle, taking in the view in front of me I took a moment to appreciate of what I have now, all the wealth and power as a king wasn't nearly worth of this, as tears welled up in my eyes my mom and Ellie noticed me.
