New Orleans. They wouldn't be here much longer, not unless a VILE operative made a second attempt at the charity money; (not that they could).

She was waiting for an update from Player about where they'd be off to next while she strolled beside Shadowsan.

The siblings were scouring the streets not far from them for something to eat. They'd eaten Zack's burnt spaghetti last night for 'good luck'. (His favourite racer was mentioned on the news and he left the stove).

Now, they'd completed a successful mission and it was time to eat out in celebration.

Shadowsan had managed to join them that night, having landed only a few hours ago; so they paired off to see who could find the best place.

Carmen shoved her hands into her pockets. It was well past midnight now, 3 or 4am.

But everyone's internal compass told them it was brunch/lunch time (Palma, Spain. It would be about 10 or 11am there).

She heard Shadowsan's gruff voice and turned to face him.

"Here." More of a command than a question.

Carmen peered in to see bright yellow-y orange lights flooding the restaurant. She gave him a nod and waited behind.

The streets were a pale blue, lit by a street-lamp every few blocks.

No one was really around this time of night, it surprised her that some people were even dining this late.

Oh well... it was Halloween.

Carmen's head hit the brick wall behind her way too fast, a spiked cloth covering her mouth and muffling any urge to speak.

She was pulled into the alley to her right... or left. A spark of dizziness hits her hard.

There was a body behind hers, holding her down.

Carmen panicked. She couldn't move forward so she ran backwards with them.

They were in the open air for a while before their back collided with another brick wall.

It wasn't pretty. The aura of blood and smoke this deep in the alley made her nauseous.

Carmen took the chance to step on the subject's feet, achieving a feminine yelp, then she threw them over her shoulder.

Carmen gasped when she had been freed, blinking hurriedly at the dark spots in her vision because her life depended on it.

She whipped her brow and got a blurred look at the suspect.

Not VILE. This wasn't their MO.
