Choke on your blood and drown in it.

Left to wither and die as always; Carmen finds herself at the hands of VILE.

Well, she had been... they'd already fled the scene.

Her gut-wrenching sobs reverberated off the walls and back into her ears. Saturated were her clothes with red. A red they shouldn't be.

"Hang... Red...you- ...okay?"

Player's words didn't resonate with Carmen; she stayed on the floor, rocking painfully to distract herself from the reaper in her tunnel vision.

She yelped as the injury moved with her and stayed frozen on her side.

There was silence, then the next thing Player caught was...

Carmen's laughing.

She was giggling uncontrollably despite the pain that had engulfed her very soul just a moment ago. That was the last thing he got before their comms cut out permanently.

Something in the air made it funny; made it all a funny joke one would tell at a barbecue. At least that's what she'd heard, she'd never been to a barbecue.

Carmen looked at her hands and grinned, her eyes half lidded and skin pale. Red was her colour. It suited her to pass on drenched in just that.

...Something in the air.

Shadowsan was fortunate to have remembered his gas mask for this particular mission.

He insisted to the faculty that he go, so that he may 'prove himself' since Poitiers was quite the wasted trip. Even if he was already faculty.

It didn't matter, they bought it.

The real problem was Carmen. This mission was one of suicide; as he crept the hallways he did not feel pitiful for the fallen operatives giggling and pointing.

But if Carmen were to perish, it would not be forgivable.

There was a familiar childish laughter around one particular corridor. He cursed silently.

Not everyone had remembered their essential gear.

When he crept around the corner silently; following the moaning sobs mixed with childish giggles his heart ached.

At the door was a red with gold accents oxygen mask; definitely Carmen's.

Shadowsan cried out in battle when he rounded the corner, expecting an opponent to have his supposed enemy pinned to the ground.

Instead what he saw left his black heart in shambles.

It was just Carmen there; clearly affected by the gas. Otherwise she would have surely been freaking out the way he was.

There were splatters and pools of blood around the entire room suggesting a struggle or more. But it seems VILE got what they wanted; Carmen on her death bed.

Beaten and bruised, she was smiling, grinning.

Her pupils were dilated. He walked towards her slowly so to not scare her, he did not know if the gas would have any other affects.

Pupils widened with interest when she saw him.

"Carmen?" She groaned in pain, faint giggles and the ghost of a smile on her lips; she had enough sense to clutch her side where she had been repeatedly stabbed. Her eyes were still half lidded and blinks long enough to indicate sleep.

Shadowsan looked down at the injury, then back around the room. It was VILE alright.

Thankfully, they weren't opt to scrub the scene until he reported in; which gave them some time.
