If Shadowsan fears someone, you probably should too...
TW: Past & Attempted R@pe, Violence, no smut
Carmen puts her hands in her pockets, enjoying the cool, familiar breeze that Cairns had to offer. The van shouldn't be far now. Shadowsan strolls beside her, he too enjoys the moment of bliss.
He stops.
"Suhara?"
Carmen looks from him to a figure in the distance, a woman, taller than he was. She clearly recognises him, "Is that you?"
The thief takes a curious step forward, immediately caught off guard by Shadowsan's response.
"Carmen, no!" He hisses, motioning for her to stand behind him.
Eyes wide, she looks from the woman to her father figure. She's never seen him this petrified. It's like she can't even recognise him, "Shadowsan?"
His eyes don't dare draw away from the woman down the hall. She has silky black hair, just taller than Carmen and wearing an open blazer with her bra exposed. Carmen fends off her blush. Along with matching pleated pants that sway as she approaches.
She stares at the woman for a while, lifting a foot to be met with a scolding. They're the same age.
"Carmen, don't go near her!" He shrieks, voice cracking at the end. She's a tall Japanese woman with fair skin and some wrinkles.
"Shadowsan, That's what you're going by these days?"
Carmen hesitates, side stepping next to Shadowsan, who nervously grabs and squeezes her hand. In immediate shock, she gives Shadowsan a look.
What's going on??
"Sora." He doesn't dare say more.
Over-protectively, he holds Carmen behind him.
"Who's this gem? Have you replaced me?" She asks, smiling kindly, no malicious tint that Carmen would expect
Still, she internally stutters.
If Shadowsan was scared of her, a man who once fought in the Yakuza. She didn't want to be acquainted.
She's close enough that when she stops, Shadowsan shuffles back. He doesn't speak.
"Neko wa anata no shita o motte imasu ka?"
"Cat got your tongue?"Red? Your tracker's not moving."
Before the pair can react, in a swift motion 'Sora' puts her face millimetres from Shadowsan.
It was a move that easily makes your opponent vulnerable. But Shadowsan doesn't go for it, despite the upper hand he may not see.
"Did you miss me? It's been so long, Matte iru."
Carmen's reaction is instant. One elbow to the neck and they'd be down. But Sora catches her arm.
"Hayai."
"Fast.""Who are you?" Carmen demands, eyes narrowing.
"Carmen," Shadowsan interrupts, putting a hand in front of her and pushing the girl behind him.
"Soy Bean. I thought you'd at least mention me, Suhara."
"Sore wa zutto mae no kotodeshita, gomen."
"It was a long time ago, sorry."She smiles again, "Taimingu yoku."
