A/N: Sorry this took so long. It's been a busy couple of weeks at work, and well sadly writing is not my day job. Hope you enjoy this chapter!!

After I send Madison upstairs to get Toby I start dishing out the three bowls of mac and cheese. It takes a few minutes but I finally hear muffled voices and footsteps shifting from upstairs signaling the two girls' descent.

When they make it down Tobs leads Madison back into the kitchen to grab their bowls.

"What do you guys want to drink?"

"Water's fine with me," Tobin responds, "what about you Madi?"

Her head shoots up at the question, 'She sure walks around with her head down a lot.'

After a few moments of silence, she simply shrugs her shoulders.

"Water work?" I ask grabbing cups to fill up. Once again she shrugs her shoulders. Sighing at her lack of response I fill her a cup anyway.

Tobin hands the first bowl to the young girl before taking her own.

"Thank you for making us lunch," My wife tells me and Madison quickly follows suit, stuttering out her own words of gratitude.

"Just go enjoy your lunch, the both of you," I tell them, following with my own bowl back into the living room. I grab the remote to continue watching the movie I had put on earlier.

"Ugg, what the hell movie is this?" Tobin whines in displeasure.

"First off language. Second, what are you talking about?" I ask her.

"First off," She mimics, "hell isn't even a bad word. And second, can't we watch something else? This movie is so boring."

"Have you even ever seen this movie before?" I shoot back.

"Well no, but I can just tell."

"How?"

"Well-well I just can. It's obvious."

"What do you suggest we watch then?" I ask turning off the current movie.

"We should watch The Lion King." This time it's my turn to groan. 'I should have known. It's the only movie she ever wants to watch.'

"We literally watched it last night, and the night before that, and the night before that." She simply shrugs her shoulders and huffs.

"Fine then. What do you think Madi? What movie should we watch?" The small girl looks up at us like a deer caught in headlights.

"Oh uh I-I don't-t c-care. What-t ev-ever you g-guys want-t is is f-fine with-th me."

Tobin turns back to me quickly, "I want The Lion King." She then proceeds to take the remote out of my hands and starts the movie. It was that simple for her because the disk was still in the DVD player and has been for as long as I can remember at this point.

I sigh but settle back for the movie. I like the movie I truly do, but we watch it all the time. 'At least the music is good.'

I watch Madison closely as the movie progresses. 'She seems to be enthralled by this animated tale of the young lion finding his way home.'

Madison's POV

When Tobin and I make it downstairs and back to the kitchen Christian asks us what we want to drink. 'What? I got a drink this morning.'

I keep my head focused on the floor until Tobin uses my nickname. 'Why would she call me that? Only David has ever called me that.' I shrug my shoulders in response as I have no idea what she has asked me.

"Water work?" I shrug my shoulders once again not knowing if it's some sort of trick. Christian sighs and I flinch back a little. I don't think she noticed though. She just fills me a cup of water and Tobin hands me the bowl of food.

I quickly thank Christian for the food right after Tobin does. I look down at the bowl as Christan sends us to the living room to eat. 'She's letting us eat in the living room? What if I spill? And there's an actual amount of food in here. More to eat and to drink? What game are the two of them playing?'

When I get back to the living room I retake my seat on the floor, 'This was at least if I do spill it won't stain any of the furniture, and maybe my punishment won't be as bad.'

When Tobin and Christian finally arrive they start discussing what movie they should watch. I try not to eavesdrop on their conversation, simply pick at my food, so when Tobin asks me a question I have no idea what she wants to know.

I give her a vague answer that could answer a number of questions they could have asked me.

Tobin ends up changing the movie to The Lion King. 'Didn't they just watch this movie last night?' I ask myself.

I sit on the floor silently and continue to pick at my lunch as the movie plays. 'I never realized how good this movie is.'

When the movie finishes I stand to take my half-empty bowl into the kitchen. I turn to the woman on the couch, "W-would you lik-ke me me t-to t-t-take y-your bow-bowls?"

They both look at me and nod, handing me their bowls, "Thank you Madi."

"Y-you're wel-welcome."

I take the bowls into the kitchen and immediately go about cleaning them. 'I should probably go ahead and clean the rest of these dishes too so I don't have to do them later.' After I'm finished I start going through the cabinets to try and find where all of the dishes go. As I start putting them away Tobin with her and Christian's empty water glasses.

"Hey, you don't have to do that." I just shrug my shoulders. 'It's either now or later, and I don't want you or Christian getting mad at me for not doing it.'

"Ok. Do you want any help putting them away?" I look at her confused. I shake my head at her, 'Definitely a test.'

"Alright, that's fine. Let me know if you need anything."

"O-ok."
