Curdan Cay Station, 2012

Training myself in repeated breaths, I had tried my best to maintain my composure.

My throat only grew tighter, my body only became colder, the closer I got to the unpleasant memories of the family I had been given. "Can we take a break?"

I request her, standing up on the concrete platform I was deskbound to.

"A break? But I've gotten the feeling that you were getting just about close to finishing your past with me, Miss Amoré."
Her voice was affronted, almost discontented that I cut the story short.

"Yes, a break." I reiterate, speedily transforming into fog to appear on a large platform that was in the center of the entire arena. "I just...need to clear my head..." I confess, walking around the spacious platform. "You got any questions for me, bruja?"

"Well, I only have one." A ripple of suspicion barreled all over my body as she answered my question.

Her darkened figure in that control room of hers wasn't easing my body any further. "Okay, what is it?"

"How exactly were you able to master the art of your powers? It seems to me that Blade and Donovan were the ones who were more fearful of your powers."

Her question made me bite my tongue, because of the way she said their names, and from her assumption that was nowhere near how they actually felt.
"They weren't fearful, they were careful. Especially with all your lap dogs running around and capturing Conduits, we had to be discreet."

I began to create a small sphere of fog, and fill it up with little specks of ice, "It started with learning how to visualize whatever I wanted to create. If I wanted to make a ball of fog, I could have. If I wanted to make a small explosion..."

I then pushed my arms out, breaking the sphere open into a mini-explosion that radiated off of my body. "I could make a small explosion. Asia taught me control, because that is exactly what Blade taught her when her parents left her to him."

I then began to form an ice sword from out my left hand, and an ice shield in another, "Then Donovan taught me defense. Combining my visualization with something that I can use to defend myself in a battle."

I then threw the shield up in the air, backflipping my body spaces away before I then targeted the shield with the sword while it was still in the air—poofing the shield into a colossal amount of icicles.

Then while my body was still in a low position, I bring my arms down; obliging the icicles to clash down from the air. The icicles acted like needles that were blasting towards the ground, and if there were guys standing there...you better pray for them.

Then I stepped my foot up, straightening my body upright, "Then Blade taught me offense, how to be able to think quickly to use your powers in terminating your enemies."

Augustine was close-mouthed, like she was speechless in how I demonstrated my powers. It took minutes of her muteness for her to finally say,
"I am truly impressed with you, Rogue. You fight like you've been through war, and despite another Conduit being right there with you, you never cease to use your head."

I partial-smile to myself, positioning my hands in front of my face,
"Another thing Blade taught me."

Before I knew it the bruja had finally asked me something I never expected,
"How would you like to be a leader for all Conduits?"
