Fetch's P.O.V

11AM.

After setting down the fork down on my plate, the pooch jumps on top of my lap as I held the framed picture in my hands.

I smile lightly as I see Glacier with her old family: Blade, Donovan, Asia and... Damiàn. She had these big, short black curls - and an even bigger smile. She was so small, so innocent and so happy with life.

I wonder if Glacier and I would've been friends back then?

I continue roaming my hands on Sparky's back fur as Margaret sits in front of me in her rocking chair, a coffee mug in her hands.

"You're going to tell her today, right?" I cross-question her in a fubsy tone. "I mean... she has to know, Marg."

She takes a sip out of her mug, turning her head towards the opened curtains of her balcony - a weak grin appearing on her face. "Ay, Abigail. I want her to focus entirely on her powers and to recover... not dwell on unnecessary details."

"But-!" I sigh, readjusting myself up on the couch. "But it's not unnecessary, Marg - Lena'll understand, she's stronger than you think."

"I know." She says, turning her head back at me. "But Damiàn reappearing the way he did almost destroyed her, and who knows how her mental recuperation will be when she wakes. How's she to react after she finds out who I really am?"

"It almost destroyed her because he hurt her. And she came back from it because she's tough! It's not like you didn't help her all these years, Marg... you just couldn't. She'll understand."

She exhaled out her nose, taking another sip of her mug before setting it down on a coaster. "I'm surprised you didn't even tell the naked boy."

"Delsin had a lot on his mind." I say, "I couldn't tell him somethin' like this it would've - he would've told her right as soon as she woke up and, I knew I didn't want to be responsible for her feeling so much pressure."

She laughs faintly. "I admire the level of friendship you hold her to, Abigail. I couldn't be more proud that she made an amazing friend like you."

"Glacier's family to me." I say without any doubt. "Remember what I told you? About what happened in Curdan Cay?"

She nods her head measly. "Yes. I remember. I remember you telling me about that bad man that you assassinated because he betrayed you, drugged you into a vulnerable state, which led to your brother's death."

"Yeah... Shane." I say semi-downing. "But you're missing the most important part."

She tilts her head slightly. "And what part might that be?"

"Glacier was there for me. She was there with me. I probably couldn't stress this enough but, without her I probably wouldn't have considered that revenge and killing people, even if they're innocent, is not a good thing. I have Delsin to thank too."

"~Hmhm~" She giggles, raising the mug back up to her lips. "Ah, and what of the Sheriff?"

I lift one brow at the woman. "What about that powerless guy?"

"Oh nothing," she places the mug back down against the coaster as a less-than-innocent smirk spread along her cheeks. "I just couldn't help but notice how long the both of you spent talking last night."
