Satsuki pov: It had been two months since the Kohaku incident and now we were going to begin our search for Roa. However, I was told to delay my efforts and meet Sion and Ries at the Alleyway.
"Sion, Riesbyfe!" I called out to no response, "I must have gotten here early." I sighed, sitting down to rest since I had run the whole way here.
"Hello, Sacchin!" Sion laughed, jumping down from the rooftops.
"Oh, how was Kanzaki?" I asked.
"It was fine besides the amount of work that had to be done." Sion sighed.
"Mario apparently got nothing done that whole time..." Riesbyfe groaned as she walked down the alleyway.
"Happy birthday, Sacchin!" Sion said, softly tossing me a small pastry and a neatly wrapped gift.
Inside was a brand new, silky smooth red ribbon since my blue one had been damaged in the fight with Kohaku.
"Thank you, Sion!" I blurted out as Ries handed me the gift.
"Ries, I swear if you have what I think you have, I'm going to kill you." Sion growled.
"Cute a yellow wool sweater!" I shouted happily, thanking Ries for the gift.
"You did well this time, Ries," Sion said calmly.
"Well, I didn't want to disappoint you." she responded.
"Sacchin, can we fight?" Arcueid said, running down the alleyway.
"Arcueid" I won't let you touch Sacchin! " Sion yelled.
The two girls were about to hit each other but they were stopped by Shiki, who got in the middle of the two of them.
"Remember, you promised you wouldn't fight!" He said, suddenly going into a daze.
"Sacchin, happy birthday..." Ryougi said calmly as she took over Shiki's body.
I started to notice a physical change in Shiki's body now. He looked a lot more feminine now that Ryougi was at the helm of his body.
"Kohaku is working on a body for you, right?" I asked Ryougi. Nodded.
"I'll be able to transfer to Tohno Shiki's whenever I want though." Ryougi explained that definitely sounded interesting.
I tried searching this boy's memory to see what would be the best gift for you, but he doesn't understand you at all, so I took the liberty of getting a proper gift." Ryougi said, handing me her gift.
I opened it up and inside was a small gemstone. Everyone began freaking out. I clearly didn't understand why.
"That costs a fortune. How did you afford that?" Riesbyfe shouted.
"I convinced Akiha to give me money," Ryougi explained.
"Expensive or not, I love it!" I shouted, gently clutching the gem.
"Oi Sacchin, happy birthday!" Arihiko shouted, running up to us
"Oh, it's you again..." Sion sighed.
"You better not get in our way this time because things are getting more dangerous from here." Riesbyfe explained.
"It's fine, he won't do anything as long as I'm watching him!" I said, grabbing his shoulder softly.
"Happy birthday, Satsuki Yumizuka..." White Len said, eyeing my pastery.
I quickly tossed it all into my mouth so she couldn't eat it. "You can make your own pastries." I mumbled while chewing
"Sacchin, please chew with your mouth closed..."Sion pleaded as crumbs flew all over
White Len conjured up a gift and sent it towards me. There was a cute cat plush inside. "Cute!" I shouted, holding it tightly.
White Len then conjured up a cake for all of us to enjoy. "Since it's your birthday, I'll treat you today," White Len said as she sliced the cake into six even pieces.
"Sion, what about Roa? Shouldn't we worry about him?" I questioned
"No, it's fine, we'll work on that tomorrow since Aoko and Alice said they would look for us today," Sion explained.
"Noel and Ciel are keeping an eye on the spoiled brat so that rat won't be able to pull any stunts," Riesbyfe said.
I nodded, happy that they would spend the entire day with me. "So Arcueid, what did you get me?" I said teasingly.
"Wait, did you not give her the gift yet?" Sion asked, quickly running out of the alley and coming back with a gift.
"Sion, you weren't supposed to tell her I got her a gift." Arcuied sighed.
"Look, I get you are embarrassed, but she deserves the gift!" Sion said.
I opened it up, finding a nice pair of brown shoes that would give me more traction on the ground. "Thank you!" I said happily.
By the way, Sacchin, Noel said today you get extra homework." Ries laughed.
"Well, tell that bitch to bite it!" I laughed.
"Ries, I see your fowl language has rubbed off on our precious Sacchin!" Sion shouted.
"It's okay, Sion." I learned from you too! " I giggled, noticing how red her face had gotten in embarrassment.
"I suppose you did spend more time with me..." She sighed, knowing this was partially her fault.
"Well, I'll protect whatever innocence you have left in Sacchin." Sion claimed
That made me happy to hear. Before, I was all alone and nobody wanted me around, but now I have a lot of reliable friends that want me around and will protect me no matter what.
"Sion, thank you for always being there for me!" I said Sion looked at me in confusion.
"Don't be thanking me; today is all about you!" Sion shouted.
But I'm grateful for everything you've done for me! I retorted.
"Sacchin, you give me the will to fight, so thank you for being there for me," Sion said softly. I felt my heart skip a beat.
Was this love? I thought to myself, quickly shaking the feeling off. It was love, but Sion was the older sister type to me. I never wanted our dynamic to change.
"Riesbyfe, thank you for taking care of Sion!" I shouted. She glared at me too.
"Again, why are you thanking us? We should be thanking you!" Sion shouted.
"Ryougi, thank you too!" I blurted out, not specifying what I was thanking her for.
Sion just sighed before bursting out in laughter. Everyone began to laugh. I was happy to be with them and I wouldn't change this for the world.
