Ciel pov: I felt Noel begin to nudge me awake. I shot up and was about to yell at her, but she gently kissed me.
"Happy birthday, Elesia!" She said cheerfully:
"Oh, it's today?" I questioned
"Yeah, you almost don't sound happy," Noel states.
I cleared my throat and softly rubbed my eyes. "I'm not happy," I told her.
Noel sighed and held my hand softly. "I'll make you curry, so get ready," she said.
My eyes lit up hearing that she'd make me curry for breakfast. She giggled as she saw my excitement. I immediately got up, took a shower, and everything else, and ran to the kitchen, sitting down at the table.
"Jeez, you really got ready quickly!" Noel said
"Of course I want curry!" I shouted
"So would I," Roa stated.
I looked to my side, expecting to see Roa. "Shut up, bastard!" I yelled, but I realized that there was no one there.
"Who are you talking to?" Noel asked
"N-nobody," I stated to her.
"Here you go," Noel said, placing the curry in front of me. I immediately dug in.
"Ciel, you need to slow down!" Noel told me:
"Why?" I asked with a mouth full of curry.
"We don't want you to choke!" Noel said loudly:
I nodded and swallowed all the curry, only to feel a tap on my shoulder right after I looked over and saw Nanako.
"What?" I asked angrily.
"Happy birthday," she said to me softly.
"Oh, thanks," I said.
"We should go out today," Noel suggested.
"No, I have to respectfully decline," I told Noel.
"Why?" Noel questioned
"Because if I go outside today, I'll run into Arcueid, and that annoyance will try to fight me, and then I'll have to work on my birthday!" I shouted
"Look, Elesia, if we don't go outside, we can't see your surprise!" Noel said
"Why is it outside?" I asked
"Well, I want to take you out to lunch, and I'll get you curry, but I left your present there as well," Noel said.
"Ugh, fine," I stated.
I stood up and grabbed the seventh holy scripture so Nanako could come with us, despite the fact that I didn't want her to come along.
"Let's go..." I scoffed
Noel grabbed my hand and pulled me outside. I was surprised that she didn't want me to do the dishes.
"Morning you two and happy birthday, Ciel, I guess..." Mother Riesbyfe said
"Why are you here, mother?" I asked
"One, I work here. Two, I need to give Sion confidential information." Mother Riesbyfe stated:
"No, you will not!" I boldly said
"I'm your superior, Ciel; you can't decide that!" Riesbyfe told me
"It's my birthday, so I think I can!" I told her
"Look, my birthday gift from me to you is the fact that I let you keep your job and don't lock you up or kill you for being a vessel of Roa, even if you are a failure," Mother Riesbyfe said.
Noel just sighed and grabbed my arm, beginning to drag me away. From there, she led me a little further. I saw Shiki in the distance, but to be honest, I didn't want to talk to him.
"Morning senpai!" Arihiko said as he saw me.
I growled as Shiki and Arihiko approached me.
"Morning..." I said
"Happy birthday!" Arihiko said
"Why are you out this early?" I asked
"We're looking for Arcueid." Shiki mentioned
I knew what this meant. She has realized it is my birthday and wants to attack me. I won't let that happen.
"Let's just go..." Noel said as she yanked me away from everyone and brought me to a café that she knew sold curry. I immediately saw Arcuied sitting at the café, and in the distance I saw a vision of Roa holding a birthday present. I quickly threw a key and hit the figure, shocked to see it didn't vanish and was writhing on the ground.
I ignored it, though, and made it to the café.
"Why are you here, Ciel?" Arcuied hissed as she saw me.
"Why are you here!?" I asked
"To eat delicious confectionaries!" She stated
"That can't be the only reason!" I yelled
"Elesia, please don't pick a fight!" Noel said
Arcueid did seem to only be here to eat confections; she got a cake and began to eat it.
"Do you want your birthday gift before or after you get more curry?" Noel asked
"I guess before..." I said
Noel went inside the café before coming out with a gift that was oddly big.
"I know you'll like it!" Noel said
I unwrapped it and saw that it was a curry cooker.
"Thank you!!" I shouted
"You're welcome!" Noel giggled in response.
Arcuied looked at me and turned her head to the side. "Why the hell does she get presents?" She asked
"It's her birthday!" Noel said
"Pfft!" Arcueid laughed
"What's so funny?" I asked
"Someone as worthless as you has a birthday." Arcueid laughed
"I could say the same about you, bastard!" I shouted
"Elesia, calm down; she is just egging you on!" Noel said
"You're right, she probably remembered the whole time," I said.
"No, why would I remember someone's worthless birthday?" Arcueid asked
"You aren't going to ask to fight me?" I asked
"No, you are boring to me." Sion is the only woman that can satisfy me after all," Arcueid said.
"Do you want to fight her?" Noel asked
"Yes!" I shouted
"Fine as long as you let me go at only five percent," Arcueid said.
"Oh, shut up, I'll kill you!" I yelled
"It's your birthday; you said you didn't want to work!" Nanako cried
"Ugh, fine," I sighed.
Arcuied decked me in the face, and I immediately jumped back up.
"I was off guard!" I yelled
I noticed Arcuied had a small wrapped gift in her hand, and she pushed it towards me.
"Happy birthday," she said to me.
"See, she can be nice," Noel said to me.
"I guess you're right." I laughed as I took the gift from her.
