I wake up to my mother screaming, shouting on Henry.

I try to Ignore it but after a minute she comes storming into my room.

"Arabella!" My mom shouts. "Where is your brother?"

"I don't know," I say as I wipe the sleep out of my eyes. "Is he not in his room?"

"No," She says, trying to make herself sound calm but it's not working. "He's not in the house."

"Probably just went to school early," I tell her as I try to go back to sleep. "I wouldn't be surprised if he was sick of you annoying him."

"I'm not annoying him, I'm keeping him safe," She tells me. "And get up you have school."

I wait till five minutes after she leaves to actually get out of bed.

I check the time on my phone and see it's seven o'clock, I've barely had any sleep.

I'm about to get ready when I heard my phone ringing, it's Nora.

"Hey," Nora says. "Eli told me everything."

"You're lucky you weren't there," I tell her. "I'm exhausted and I still have to go to school."

"I'll be in school today aswell," Nora tells me. "My mom thinks I've been taking too much time off."

"I mean you have been off like half this year." I say. "I've been on my own."

"That's an over exaggeration," Nora says. "And you have Nolan and Elijah."

"I've been stuck with just them for two weeks," I say. "I need a break."

"Fair point," Nora says. "Speaking of Elijah, has he said anything about me?"

"About liking you?" I say. "Not in words but the amount of comments Nol has made about the two of you and the fact all he talks about is you it's pretty clear that he likes you."

"You can talk about your friends, Bella." Nora says.

"Not as much as Elijah talks about you." I tell her.

"If he likes me he needs to tell me soon," Nora tells me. "Because I can't keep waiting for him to say something, it's annoying."

"Or you could just tell him," I tell her. "This isn't the seventies, we don't have to wait for men to ask us out."

"Yeah but what if we're wrong and I ruin our friendship." Nora says.

"Trust me we're not," I tell her. "Plus, if you want to be sure you can always ask Henry's birth mother to get the truth out of him. Apparently she's really good at telling the truth, she claims it's a super power."

"I know you're joking but I will literally do anything to make sure before I mess anything up." Nora says.

"Don't stress out about it," I tell her. "Elijah isn't the type of person to stop talking to someone over this kinda thing."

"I know that but still." Nora says.
