.He was dressed now, he was sent home. He was sent to eat. Ford telling him that if he fell over in front of Athena, she would think he was more psychotic than she probably already thought he was.
So Matteo stood in his empty apartment, staring at the coffee maker that Athena had forced him to buy.
He stared at all the things that she had used, had touched. Sometimes he felt like she was even here. Like she was running around with Cupola.
He walked to the shower, standing naked in the steam.
He had lost her once, and now it was like he was losing her all over again.
God, he was a loser, that was for sure.
He couldn't even get the love of his life to remember him.
After an hour of standing in the burning water, letting the tensions run from his body. He finally exited the steamy room.
He took his meds, hoping to calm the itch that seemed to kill him for so long. Then he walked into his room- their room- and fell on the bed.
Naked and wet he laid on the bed. Laying in his misery.
Mateo had cried more over this girl, than he had ever cried in his life. Not when he had to bury his brothers' heads. Not when he lay his parents to rest. She was apart of his soul. Him without her, was like an ocean without water.
He couldn't even think about the life he would have without her.
And here he was, trying to learn about a world without her in it.
God, how was he going to survive.
His phone buzzed on the nightstand beside him.
He debated not answering, letting it ring forever for all he cared.
Instead, he reached over and answered the call.
"Dimmi." He answered.
"Matteo! She's gone!" Enzo yelled into the phone. Matteo could hear chaos in the background. Someone yelling for a nurse. Someone yelling something else.
"What?" He asked, confused on what the hell was happening.
"Athena! She's gone! She just took off!" He yelled again.
That had Matteo jumping up from the bed, slipping slightly on the hard wood floors from the water still running down his body. He grabbed the bed before he fell.
"She WHAT!?" He yelled into the phone. He was furious. They all had one job, make sure she was okay. And now she was GONE!? "You had one job Enzo! One job!" he yelled.
There was a knock at the door. And Matteo went to open it. He could yell at the person and Enzo at the same time.
"I swear when i get my hands on you. You will wish you never held little Baby Matteo Rossi!" he continued his yelling.
Now, if he was a rational person, not someone who just hear the love of his life was somewhere in the world. Probably lost and alone, since she probably doesn't even remember how to go anywhere in this city. He would remember that he wasn't wearing clothes, and he didn't know who was at the door to begin with.
Though Matteo was not a rational person. He was the kind of person to open the door buke ass naked.
Because he was yelling at his brother on the phone. That was his excuse.
