New York City. Athena didn't remember the whole thing. Maybe it went like "land of the free", no that was just United States in general.

And hell, even that wasn't true half the time.

All Athena knew was the that streets of New York were crowded and smelled like shit.

And she made sure to voice her complains with whines and grunts until one of the boys would turn and talk to her.

She hated crowded areas.

She hated the noise.

She hated the alley ways that just look like they had a "Come get kidnapped" sign.

The boys made sure she was stuffed in between them.

She was 5'8, but she was still a woman. In the streets of New York, not a good combination.

She grumbled at the thought of needing protected. The knife tucked into her boot, or the pistol on her hip would keep her protected enough. Even the dagger strapped on her back would defend her just fine.

She also hated tourists. Annoying people that walk around with their mouths open like fish. And stopping in the middle of the road to take photos.

She hoped one would get hit by a car.

"Almost there." Sam said for the four time since the driver dropped them off a block away from the location. "Here we are."

After Dark, a night club, how wonderful. It was only noon, but Athena could stand a drink.

"Heads up." Gen mumbled before they made their way to the door.

Athena counted three guards at the entrance, both had a hand gun on their hips. She could feel their eyes on the group. One whispered in a walky talky, probably alerting someone of their arrival.

Her thoughts were confirmed when a man opened the doors before Ford could touch the handles.

"Prick," Ford grumbled.

"Welcome to After Dark the family is thankful for your arrival." Thd man's Italian accent was strong, like he wasn't used to speaking English.

He had a black suit matched with a dark purple dress shit. Athena could see the Seven Blades tattoo on his neck. And for half a second she wondered how much he would bleed if she had to cut it out.

Research, always haved to be informed.

He was built well. Not a stick, but definitely not a fighter. Easy prey, if she needed to defend herself.

"Samuel Andrew's, we spoke on the phone." Sammy held out his hand to the man. Only for the man to pull him in and kiss him on the cheeks.

Athena hit Ford in the shoulder, 'Like hell he's doing that to me.'

'Don't cut him.' Was Ford's only reply.

"Ah yes, Señor Andrew's. Lovely to meet you. We are glad the American Government is able to help in our... situation."

Yeah yeah, glad you have officials in your pockets asswhipes.

"I never caught your name." Samuel questioned as the man started to lead the team into a back room.

Out of habit Athena marked the exits and how many guards watch each one. If they had to leave, or escape, it would be a bloodbath. But she had faith they would win.
