He was here. She knew he was. She could feel his rage at her words. She knew he was in this room.
At first the strange feeling was becuase of all the grown ass men staring at her like some kind of puppet.
Then she had told them that the murder was a weak man. And then feeling of pure hot rage floated into the room.
Though she couldn't see it on any of the mens faces. It was like he was here, just not here.
She shook her head. There was no where for anyone to go in this room. The only door was the one everyone had walked through.
She could have sworn that she walked in right after him.
But he was no where to be seen.
Like a ghost, but the person was no ghost. They were just a weak man that wanted everyone to be scared of him.
A horror film where the killer is the nerd all along.
She let out a yawn as the men began to bicker about who was the killer. As if one of them had been able to sneak a weapon past the seven layers of searching.
She was only able to sneak in that small knife becuase the guards didn't feel comfortable strip searching her.
Which she smiled at, most men would love a look at a woman's naked body.
Gentlemen.
She almost hoped they wouldn't be dead by the end of this.
She walked out the room as four men started to raise fist. Idiot men, she thought.
She stalked around the house looking for some type of caffeine. Though this house was so huge it could have been seen as a mall.
So she continued her walk.
She thought about all the things that could go wrong while they were stuck in this hell hole.
She wondered if her family was looking for her.
She wondered if the team, her family, was looking for her. Or if they were just looking for Matteo and Ford.
She wondering if Aaron's brother would mourn his brothers death. But they didn't seem close enough for it.
She felt bad that Aaron was dead. She was supposed to keep him safe, and she had failed. The guilt ate at her before she realized that he was a womanizer, and the world probably needed less of his kind.
He was also a racist fuck, Athena would have skinned him alive. Since he didn't seem to like others skin.
When she finally entered what seemed to be a kitchen. She stopped in her tracks. Childerns toys laid scattered around the room.
A broken fire truck laid in two pieces at her feet.
"What are you doing here?"
Dyaln stood behind her. His face blank with emotions, but he wouldn't look anywhere but Athena's eyes.
She blinked at him them back that the toys.
There was no evidence of a child in this house, well atleast until now. There were no photos. Or any mess left behind.
Dyaln's eyes betrayed him, his eyes grew hazy while he glanced around the room.
There was a child here. A long time ago.
