She was the one that never had to say a word, a glance from her would make any one question if they would live to see tomorrow.
He was known for his deadly sins, his bloody hands that never seemed to get clean.
When one meets the other, galaxies c...
There was no light in the room when Athena stirred. That could have been for one of two reasons. One, the windows in the room were closed shut. Or two, Athena had her head shoved into Matteo's neck.
In Athena's defense, he was comfortable. Warmth seemed to radiate from his body.
It wasn't because she enjoyed touching him, that would be absurd. It was because she was cold, and he was warm. Simple answer, one that Athena was still trying to convince herself was true.
She laid in the warmth of his body for a few more minutes, soaking in the feeling of safety that he gave her. She knew she should have gotten up, she should not have fallen asleep with him in the first place. Hell, she wasn't supposed to sleep with him anyway.
Athena slid out of Matteo's grasp, watching him when she stood. She saw him wiggle around as if he was trying to find something. This face changed into one of panic, his arms shot out trapping whatever was close to him in his grasp.
Athena moved her pillow closer to him, his arms successfully snaking around the pillow. Matteo's face relaxed as he pulled it into his chest.
Athena had never seen Matteo panic like that before. Sure, she had seen him have panic attacks and other things. She had never seen him freak out over something like her moving from the bed.
It was almost like even unconscious he didn't want to lose her again. Athena's heart seemed to beat faster in her chest.
Athena walked to the bathroom she had used last night and grabbed a long dress shirt from the closet. Luckily Matteo's height was only a few inches taller than her, so she was able to use a pair of sweatpants she found without swimming in the material.
Athena glanced one last time at Matteo's sleeping form before she slipped out the door.
She needed to find Ford. If they were going to find a way out of here they were going to need to work together.
As she walked down the hallways, a crash sounded.
What the hell?
Athena knew better than to walk to where the noise came from. Come on she had watched too many horror movies to die this early. But she also know that she would be able to kill anyone with ease if they tried her.
So, like the blonde girl in the horror films. She went after the noise.
Secretly she hoped that it was some type of animal that knocked over a vase or something. She truly didn't want to be looking over her shoulder they were trapped here. However, long that might be.
Ford was going to kill her if she got hurt because she was stupid enough to go after the noise.
When Athena turned the last corner, all she saw was a door closing. No one else seemed to be in the hallways. It made her wonder what time it was.
All the lights in the hallway gave the look that it was morning, even when the windows were boarded shut. Why the hell are there no clocks in this god forskanen hallway?
Athena walked to the door. She could feel something, something was passed this door. Her whole body told her that she should turn back. Though seeing as she was Athena White and seemed to not have a will to live. She pushed open the doors.
Blood was everywhere. The smell of death greeted Athena like an old friend. This room was a war zone, and whoever was in here was either dead or highly injured.
There was a broken vase on the floor, she bent down and grabbed one of the broken shards. She held her weapon as she continued the wall through the room. Blood seemed to be covering over eighty percent of this room.
When she turned past the larger table she found the source.
Aaron's bloody body lay onto the body of the man with the green shoes.
Aaron's face had been almost completely torn off. This jaw looked like it was broken in two different places as it lay limp. His eyes were wiped as if he was staring death in the face. His arms were badly torn as if some beast had torn his skin off with its claws.
Athena blinked at the mess.
She didn't even want to see how the Green Shoes looked. Luckily his face was face down, but she could see the stab wounds on his back.
She looked up from the body to see a message written on the wall. It seemed to be used of both men's blood.
