Take a fighting stance!

(y/n) swung his blade with his whole body being pressed down to make the cut, even momentarily taking his two feet off the ground to land roughly upon his enemy. A large graze could be seen on his opponent's shoulder, by a small minute being covered by the ghosts of the shadows around, looming over the blood and flesh.

Nico stumbled back and gasped slightly. Maybe he wasn't that used to fighting, specially not against one of the most powerful demigods to ever exist, without much training, but he promised he'd handle five whole minutes facing (y/n).

(y/n) threw his sword towards the sky, surprising Nico by a lot. This was supposed to be a fight, why would you throw away your weapon against an armed enemy?

(y/n) side-stepped a slash from Nico's sword and cut his legs between Nico's, forcibly pushing Nico's legs apart, and, in the process, making Nico fall into his back on the dirt floor.

(y/n) sighed lightly and extended his hand above Nico's head, effortlessly catching his own sword by its handle as it landed with its blade pointing directly down to Nico's flushed nose.

A silent bell rang to both their ears, quietly ordering (y/n) to back down. (y/n) slowly raised his sword and it dissolved into a goo that wrapped around his forearm, turning into his black bandages.

Nico sighed in relief. "That was five minutes? Geez it felt like half an hour."

(y/n) extended his hand towards Nico, pushing the shorter to his feet as he grabbed (y/n)'s hand in his.

"Sorry," (y/n) grumbled. "That must've hurt."

Nico, right after steading his feet, winced at the stinging sensation in his left shoulder and closed his eyes in pain. (y/n) muttered a curse to himself and called for medical items.

(y/n) drew an arrow from the quiver around his hip and slung it through his silver bow's string. He did it with so much ease, but it made Will groan in annoyance at the sight of (y/n) pushing the string back so effortlessly.

He sighed and dropped the string from his hold, pushing the arrow through the air at insanely high speeds. The metal point hit the bullseye of the aiming stands propped into the grass, though it didn't stop there, it cut right through and landed on a tree right behind it, impaling itself on the wood.

A distant shriek of anger from a dryad could be heard in the far distance.

Will rolled his eyes. "Which bullseye was that one?"

(y/n) lowered his bow. "Today? Thirty third."

"Oh my gods," Will sighed. "And that's over 50 meters!"

"How are you so good at that?" Eris, a fourteen year old from Apollo cabin, asked in amazement.

(y/n) shrugged. "I don't know. How are you so good at being annoying?"

  Eris huffed. "Oh, shush."

An arrow whistled as it left a floating trail of sand in its path. It landed on the sidewalk and filled the air with a slightly more relaxed aura.

(y/n) sighed and slung his bow across his shoulders, making it turn back into its necklace form and the quill strapped to his side turn into a thigh strap.

The remains of the two dead Gorgons made the air smell like sulfur and burnt KFC food. The smell didn't make it any more pleasant to smell than the food he had to eat for the past few days. Maybe he'd start eating meat after everything went low, but the smell of spoiled and burnt food made his appetite for it go to the drain, not to mention the trashed food.
