It was such an amazing thing. That is, when I asked Harumi to be my girlfriend. I had spent so many countless hours thinking about the perfect words to say. To be honest, it felt like all of those hours that I spent composing the right thing to say went out the window when I pulled out that locket.

I was so glad to see her constantly looking at it. It made me smile every time. And the sword that she got me was beautiful. I decided that from that day on, the sword would be the weapon that I fight with because it reminds me of who I am fighting for.

The Christmas season had flown by, and spring was finally upon Ninjago. It had definitely been very rainy, and it was a rare occasion such as today when the sun was actually out and shining. I decided to take advantage of this and start my training outside.

I tighten the belt on my GI and grab my new sword, as I start to head out to the courtyard of the monastery.

It's still pretty early in the morning, so I open the front door quietly, and close it behind me.

The sun shines brightly on my face, and the cool morning air feels amazing. It was been a while since it was sunny. It feels good to be outside.

I approach the training dummy and position myself and my sword. Taking a deep breath, I start to fight.

The sound of my sword slicing the air before striking the training dummy was one of my most favorite sounds ever. When I fight, it feels as though I am entering a world inside my head. A simplistic world in a way. A world where I know what to do. What move to make. If only life was that simple.

The training dummy spins as I strike it again, before jumping, and flipping over it as I summon my elemental powers in one hand, while holding my sword in the other.

I spin around, hitting it directly with a burst of bright green energy. I continue striking it with my powers and sword before I nod in satisfaction a while later. Training always seemed to fill my longing to be productive.

I take a step back from the training dummy, and wipe the beads of sweat away from my forehead with the back of my hand. I stare up at the sun, which has risen a lot more. It was definitely starting to warm up, which felt good. The winter months were cold and it was almost like a breath of fresh air as Spring finally started to come.

I smile, and clutch my sword tightly as I head back inside the monastery on a hunt to find Harumi. Spring was upon us, which meant that the cherry blossom festival would be in full swing in Ninjago City. The festival celebrated the arrival of spring, and was a huge deal to the citizens of Ninjago. Weeks were spent preparing for the multitude of people who would come.

I open the door to the monastery, and head for the kitchen. There I find a half asleep Harumi, wrapped in a blanket, starting to doze off as she waits for her coffee to brew.

I sneak up behind her, and wrap my arms around her shoulders, snuggling my head into her neck.

"Guess who!" I say with a laugh as she turns around and faces me.

"Hmm let me think. Oh yeah. The green ninja who actually likes to get up early and not sleep in." She replies with a smirk and a laugh.

"And I see my sleepy girlfriend who is going to go on the best date ever tonight." I say as I wink in her direction, and her face immediately lights up. I would never get tired of calling her that.

"Is that so?" She chuckles as she raises an eyebrow at me while smirking.

"Indeed it is." I reply before we both burst out laughing and I pull her into a hug.
