They stood like this for a while. It almost felt like they were the only ones at the station—like it was just them and the rest of the world didn't exist. When they finally released themselves from the hug, Charlie noticed the flowers Nick was holding.
"You got me flowers?" Charlie asked with a squeaky excited voice. "Uh yeah, I did," Nick answered. He looked at the bouquet. "They're kind of wilted though." "Oh Nick, I love it. It's so sweet," Charlie exclaimed. "And I don't mind that they're a little wilted. I sometimes feel and look kinda wilted as well, and you still love me. It doesn't change a thing. Similarly, the fact that the flowers look kind of sad right now doesn't take away from this sweet gesture of yours." Charlie said and he hugged Nick. They started walking towards the exit of the train station. "And you know what, I'm sure they'll be fine once we put them in water."

"Is it stupid that I got you flowers?" Nick asked when he sat down on Charlie's bed. "No, I like it. I think it's cute." They both knew that it was kinda cringy. But it was sweet as well. So they didn't mind. Charlie filled a vase with water and put the bouquet in it. While doing so, a small card fell on the floor. He noticed and picked it up. "Omg Nick! Did you write a card too?" He exclaimed. "What? A card? I didn't write a card." Nick said. He stood up and walked towards Charlie, who'd already opened the card by the time he got there.Hi love,
Your boyfriend visited my shop today. What a gentleman he is. You're very lucky to have him. He loves you very much, I could tell by the look on his face. Keep him close to you.
Best wishes to both of you.
Lina.
If it was possible for humans to literally melt, there would've been a Nick and Charlie-shaped puddle in Charlie's dorm room right now. Both of them were so touched by Lina's card.
"This is literally the sweetest thing ever," Nick said, while a tear fell down his cheek. Charlie looked up at him and noticed that Nick got a bit emotional. He placed his hand on Nick's cheek and wiped the tear away. "Almost as sweet as you," He said. "Cause none of this would've happened if your sweet ass didn't decide to be the best boyfriend ever and get me flowers." They both smiled and then they kissed.
"Should we go out for dinner?" Charlie asked. "There's this place I've been wanting to try out." "Are you sure?" Nick asked, with slight concern in his voice. "Yeah, I'm sure. Today was a good day. So I really want to. "
