Hu Tao's pov:

After what Xiao did to me yesterday I didn't feel like talking to him or anything, the only reason why I didn't respond to him is because I wanted to get ready for class but it seems that he can't understand that. As I enter class I chose a spot next to Raiden and Lumine
"hiya!" I sat down next to them quickly

"oh hello Hu Tao" Raiden waved and also Lumine put her hand high and waved, maybe it's because she's happy but she wasn't talking which is weird because she always says hi.
I got my notebook and waited for the teacher to come until somebody tapped my shoulder. I turned around and of course it was Xiao

"what do you want Xiao" I sighed "well I wanted to see if you would like to have lunch with me"he looked a bit sad so I said yes to his little "date thing"

•at lunch• -Xiao's pov

Once I exited class I headed straight for my locker and threw everything in there like there was no tomorrow(I'm so funny🥺). I wanted to meet up with Hu Tao as soon as I can so we can have more time to talk, but she probably doesn't wanna hear from me.

I slam my locker shut and rushed myself over to Hu Tao, there she was standing with a pale look on her face, she looks like she doesn't want to sit with me but I try to be nice and walk up to her.

I started walking slowly to Hu Tao nervously, I couldn't forgive myself for what I did to this sweet girl but at least I get a chance to talk with her right now.

once I approached her I wanted to sound friendly "hello Hu Tao" waiting for her response
"Hi" but she doesn't sound too happy at all it was like "I don't wanna be here" kind of thing.

"Want to go to the cafe down town, if you would like" I start walking towards the front door. She follows behind me "sure we can go to that cafe, oh and are you excited to meet your roommate for the dorms" she looked at me with her sparkly eyes that shines brighter than my future tbh.

"uhm I guess so" I look away shyly "should we head to the cafe now?" She looked up and me like she was ready to jump me. 
"oh uhm of course" we both started walking to the cafe, while we were walking I felt a warm gentle touch on my hand. I looked down to see Hu Tao grabbing onto my hand as if we were a couple walking together in public.

"uhm Hu Tao, what are you doing" I try to keep myself from sounding nervous so she doesn't think that I like her or something.  "Just holding your hand, why do you ask?"

"because nobody had held my hand before" I gently hold her hand as like I was accepting someone to grab onto me, which I never like when anyone touches me but this feels different....why do I like this feeling? I looked over at Hu Tao and her face was all red and she was smiling.

once we got to the cafe we sat down at the first table we saw, it was very clean and stable so both of us can enjoy our talk...

•Hu Tao Pov•

"So what do you need to talk about, Xiao?" I looked at him with a lovely smile so he doesn't feel hurt it anything.

"Well it's about yesterday...look...I'm really sorry what I did to you and I know I shouldn't have hurt you like that, I realized much of a fool I was, seeing you cry broke me and I was only trying to act tough so people can like me...so I apologize" He looked down and then looked back at me. I put my hand over his gently "I forgive you"
