Once Scarlett opened the door, my jaw literally dropped to the floor, the tears falling into my mouth as I looked around.
I heard Scarlett chuckle from behind me and place a hand on my shoulder and lead me through the white polished halls and down into the living room. She must be rich
"Right, it's 3 right now. Have you eaten, I can make something if you want" Scarlett asked sitting me down on the white sofa, I'm guessing she had a has theme going on
"I'm okay, I had a big breakfast" I said quietly, tearing up at the thought of this morning with daddy in the kitchen
"Are they seriously not coming back" I whimpered wiping my eye with my damp sleeve. Scarlett sucked in a deep breath and sat down beside me
"Why don't I get you a change of clothes so your not cold and we can have a talk" She suggest, i nodded my head shy-ly not wanting to be in these clothes anymore as they were soggy
"Can i come with you" I whispered as Scarlett stood up and started walking to the door, Scarlett smiled and nodded her head holding out her hand for me which I took and followed her upstairs making sure to leave my shoes by the door
"I have hoodie's, t-shirts, crop tops, what would you like" Scarlett said going through the options and guiding me over to her closet which was massive
"I don't mind" I said quietly unable to choose between the store full of clothes, Scarlett chuckled at my amazement gaze and picked out a dark greenish hoodie and some shorts
"Is this alright" She asked holding them up, i smiled and nodded my head as she handed them over to me
"I'm going to get the guest bedroom ready for you, call me if you need anything love" Scarlett said as we both walked back out of the closet
"Wait, can you stay. I don't wanna be alone" I said in an embarrassment state, i don't wanna loose someone else. I know no body in this world apart from Scarlett and the Lizzie woman, not family to be with. If I lost Scarlett I'd be alone
"Of course honey" Scarlett smiled and guided me over to the bathroom, she shut the door a little bit, enough so I had privacy but not fully shut and I could still see a little bit of her bedroom
I quickly got changed, washing my hands in the process and crumpling my clothes up in a pile in my arms and walking back out the bathroom
"Oh, I should've have let you take a shower" Scarlett realised and smacked her hand lightly on her forehead
"It's alright" I said despite the fact I felt dirty and my hair was soaking with that yucky river water
"No, I'll run you a shower i don't want you to feel dirty with that muddy water" Scarlett said leading me back into the bathroom. She walked over to the shower, and turned the faucets left right and centre while the rain fall shower started to work
"This one had more pressure if you need it, and this one is just a rain fally type one. The body wash and bath sponge is there, shampoo and conditioner is there feel free to use whatever" Scarlett said pointing to where everything went
"Thank you" I said quietly looking back and here and turning around again. She gave me a smile and kiss on my cheek as she was a lot taller than me
"I'll be in my bedroom so don't worry, I'll take these and call me if you need anything" Scarlett said taking my dirty clothes from me and leaving the bathroom making sure the door was how it was before.
I ran my hand under the water checking the temperature which was perfect and stripped out of the clothes I hadn't even put on 5 minutes ago and jumped into the shower, not literally.
I let my body run under the water for a few minutes before realising I didn't ask Scarlett for a towel and I would probably need one. Just as i was about to call Scarlett, I noticed a big shiny golden rack of towels beside the shower door thankfully
I started to scrub my body down, making sure to get all the dirt off of me. I slowed down my actions remembering what happened earlier today.
I cant believe I had lost my mom and dad like that and there wasn't anything I could do about it, I was hopelessly in someone's house having a shower and staying the night
I slide down the shower wall, emotionless before caving in and sobbing into my hands again. This can't be real I don't want this to happen, not again
"Y/n? Is everything alright honey" Scarlett knocked sounding worried, I stood up in a panicked state and grabbed the shampoo hoping she doesn't need the toilet or something
"I'm fine" I said in a high pitched voice trying to stop myself from crying, I heard footsteps then the bed springs to I'm assuming she went to sit back down on the bed
I lathered my hair in shampoo, still sobbing and rubbed it into my hair as best I could, normally mama would wash my hair for me then put in a hair mask and braid my hair nicely
I rinsed that out, doing the rest of the hair routine before looking back at the shower and press the off button, closing my eyes hoping I didn't break it.
Thankfully I never and got out, reaching for a towel and wrapping it around my body. I grabbed another towel and wrapped it around my head holding my wet hair.
I dried myself off before slipping on Scarlett's clothes again, with some struggle as getting changed after a shower is not easy at all
I rubbed the towel over my hair drying it off slightly so it wasn't dripping wet anymore and just damp before folding the towel up and opening the bathroom door again
"You done?" Scarlett asked looking up from her phone and sitting up, i nodded my head keeping my eyes down as Scarlett stood off the bed, taking the towels off me, picking up my dirty clothes and telling me to follow after her
"After I put these in, do you want to see the guest room" Scarlett asked as we walked down the spiral stair case carefully
"Sure" I said smiling as she looked over her shoulder at me. She smiled back and walked down to the laundry room with me trailing behind her
"Let's go check the room" Scarlett placed her hand on my back and lead me back up the stairs and walked down the hallway to a different bedroom which was down the hall from hers
"Here we go" Scarlett said opening the door and holding her arm out, i gasped looking around the room, a very aesthetic room.
White fluffy bedsheets, fake plants around the bed a small table at the bottom of the bed, two bedside tables and a wardrobe, even it's own bathroom
"Are you sure I can stay in here" I said in amazement, i definitely didn't deserve this at all
"Of course silly, now come on. Let's get back down to the living room" Scarlett said taking my hand as we both make our way back to the living room to have a chat
The only thing racing through my mind as we walked, was wanting to wake up. I wanted to wake up right now, I wanted to leave this nightmare that I was living, get back to my parents and be happy.
