Me and Scarlett were walking back downstairs after Elizabeth, she said she was going to make sandwiches for lunch so I just agreed as Scarlett also did
"Sandwiches are made!" Elizabeth said happily, placing a tray of sandwiches down on the marble kitchen island
"Woah, that was hella fast Liz!" Scarlett said in utter shock, keeping a hold of my hand and walking closer to the island, poking one as if to see they were real which made me and Elizabeth laugh a bit
"They're real hun, i just know how to make sandwiches with the click of my fingers" Elizabeth joked and winked at me, i blushed and hid behind Scarlett a little bit before we all sat down at a chair at the island, i of course sat next to Scarlett
"Thank you" I said quietly as Elizabeth placed some onto my plate, she gave me a warm smile and handed Scarlett and herself some before sitting down opposite me and Scarlett
"So Y/n, how old are you" Elizabeth said starting a conversation, i lowered my head embarrassingly and looked up at Scarlett, she smiled and nodded her head towards Elizabeth
"12" I squeaked out taking a small bite of the sandwich, Elizabeth nodded her head and started talking to Scarlett about something called set. I'm assuming they work together
"Wait, your an actress too" I blurted out, my eyes widened and I felt my face go bright red as I lowered my head
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to be rude" I said quietly fiddling with my fingers that were on my lap
"You weren't rude sweetheart, and yes I'm an actress too" Elizabeth chuckled, I looked up and gave her a small smile and awkwardly finished eating my lunch
"So Y/n, we were thinking. That tomorrow, you could come along to work with us. You can stay in the trailer or wander about with us" Scarlett asked rubbing her hands over her plate
"Yeah" I said quietly placing my hands under my thighs to warm the up a bit. Elizabeth and Scarlett kept there conversation running until Elizabeth started to clear the plates away
"I can give you a lift to work in the morning" Elizabeth said with her back towards us as she was washing all our plates
"You can stay the night Liz" Scarlett suggested, Elizabeth hummed nodding her head
"and my car actually started yesterday" Scarlett added on, Elizabeth turned round with a surprised expression before placing the plate in the sink
"So you don't need me then" Elizabeth gasped, taking the gloves she was wearing off and pretending to pack her bags and leave the house making me and Scarlett laugh
"I'm kidding, maybe Y/n gave you good luck to get it started" Elizabeth said pointing and winking at me again
"Maybe she did" Scarlett hummed and pulled me into a tight side hug, almost squishing me into the side of her
"I'm making spaghetti Bolognese tonight, no excuses. Unless Y/n doesn't like it, do you?" Elizabeth stated then turned to me, i nodded my head happily before Scarlett led me to the living room
"How about another movie night, it's only 2pm and there's nothing to do" Scarlett groaned after checking the time on the wall
"Sure" i giggled and sat beside Scarlett, to my surprise, i was actually pretty tired so maybe I could fit in a sneaky little nap in while we watch the movies
"What ever we do, we can't let Elizabeth choose the movie" Scarlett warned me, i nodded my head before realising if we were having a movie night and that would lead to a late night
"Scarlett, would it be alright if I had a shower before we start" I asked nervously hoping she would say yes
"Of course you can love, you don't have to ask me to take a shower silly. You can have one in my room, you know how it works right" Scarlett asked, i nodded my head giving her a small hug before walking out of the living room and upstairs to Scarlett's room
I got out my new pyjamas I had bought today and brought them with me into the shower. I also lied, I have no idea how to start the shower, I just know how to switch it off because there was an off button but for some stupid reason, there's no on button, who created this!
I placed my clothes down on the toilet seat, got a towel and placed it on the counter next to the sink. I slightly leaned over the shower and looked at all the button, there was way to many and I didn't want to break anything
I clicked to off button again because maybe it would start up again but I didn't. I sighed, i didn't wanna go downstairs and tell Scarlett I couldn't start the shower because that would make me seem like a right tool but I really had no other option.
I brushed my hair out, getting ready to go in the shower before I left Scarlett's bedroom and wandered back downstairs to the living room, this time Elizabeth was in there which made this situation even more awkward for me
"You alright sweetheart" Scarlett asked tilting her head at the fact I couldn't of had a shower in the space of 5 minutes
"I-, I urm, can't start the shower" I said clearly embarrassed. Scarlett chuckled and told Elizabeth she would be one second before coming up to me and leading me back upstairs to her bedroom
"Are you washing your hair" Scarlett asked, I thought for a moment and remembered I washed it yesterday so I shook my head
"Come here then" Scarlett said, i hesitantly and slowly walked over to Scarlett who started brushing through my hair then tied it into a small braid at the bottom so it wouldn't get wet
"Thank you" I said quietly, Scarlett reminded me again that I didn't need to thank her but I couldn't stop she was being so kind to me
"Me and Lizzie will be downstairs okay, if you need anything shout on one of us and we'll help you alright" Scarlett explained to me, I gave her a nod and watched as she started to turn on the shower, pressing these button then pulling something
"You'll learn over time" Scarlett chuckled noticing my confusion, I laughed back and watched as Scarlett left the bedroom, I closed the door a little bit, so it was touching the door frame but it wasn't shut tight
After undressing, I stepped into the shower and just stood there for a few minutes realising how lucky I was to have Scarlett and Elizabeth here, what if they weren't at the park that day.
Where would I be now would i be in yet another foster family home. Would i be kidnapped or at the police station, or maybe even homeless
But there was one thing I wanted, I just wanted my mum and dad back. I know Scarlett is the kindest person ever but I would do anything to get mummy back. There wasn't anything i could do except from cry in the shower and let out my emotions in private.
