SCARLETT
The dentist obviously creeps Y/n out, i could tell by the moment we walked into the building that she wasn't very happy with being here. I was also quite shocked when she didn't say anything about her name being put down as Johansson but i'll take it as a win.
Recently, i've been getting some paper work done, it's important and i don't know if i'll be telling Y/n soon until i know it's confirmed, the paper is about-
"Scarlett i don't want too" Y/n whines tugging my hand harder and hiding her body behind mine, i keep walking with her attached to me until we get into the room, i send the dentist a small smile which she sympathetically sends one back clearly used to this behaviour.
"Hello, hello there" The dentist greets. Y/n tightens her hold around me more as i now have to move her in front of me to sit down in a chair.
"It's okay, i'm assuming that she may want to sit in your lap, which is perfectly fine it's only a check up" The dentist offers, i look at Y/n who still seems a bit distressed so i walk her over to the big chair and sit on first, pulling Y/n onto my lap.
I wrap my arms around her waist tightly as she holding my hands from the front, we are both given glasses to protect out eyes from the light above us. As the dentist wheels herself over in her chair placing her tools down, Y/n tenses up more and more.
"Alright sweetheart, i'm going to need you to open real wide for me, i promise i'm not doing anything only checking and this won't hurt one bit" The dentist clears, Y/n nods her head with her eyes screwed just and just slightly opens her mouth.
"A bit wider... thank you" The dentist chuckles, Y/n's fingers pressing into my wrist and the dentist starts moving her mirror around her teeth and telling the other woman at the back which teeth are where.
"Perfect, now for this side" The dentist says wheeling her chair round again to the other side and checking Y/n's teeth, she reads out more words as Y/n holds onto me tightly again.
"That's great honey, you did amazing. I just need to put this paste stuff one your teeth and you'll be ready to go" The dentist gathers her stuff, squeezing the paste onto this rod before coming closer but Y/n shakes her head.
"Come on Y/n, this is the last bit sweetheart you've done amazing" I say encouragingly patting her thigh but all she does is shake her head again as a tear slips down her cheek.
"Your name is Y/n?" The dentist asks clapping her hands together, Y/n turns her head giving her a stiffened nod, as yet another tears ems to fall down her face, i gently wipe it away with my hand.
"That's a beautiful name, for a beautiful girl" The dentist replies, Y/n laughs and sniffs wiping her nose, they make more small conversation and learn that the dentists name is Laura.
"Alright Y/n, do you think i'm able to put this paste on now" Laura questions, Y/n whines quietly but ends up nodding her head. She begins to open her mouth and slowly but surely, Laura is quick to apply whatever it in on her teeth before Y/n's mouth clamps shut again.
"Well done, it might taste a bit funky but-" Laura explained but was quickly cut off with Y/n sitting up quickly, taking her glasses off and crying with her hand over her mouth.
"What's up" I question slowly sitting up, i'm assuming that it's the taste of this paste or the fact it feels running or something, Y/n cries again turning herself on my lap and burying her face in my shoulder, Laura smiles sympathetically again to me.
"Sorry about that, it does taste a bit weird, she should wait at least half an hour before eating or drinking just to let it dry out, would she like a sticker" Laura half smiles coming over to us with a roll of stickers.
"Sticker" Y/n mumbles instantly moving her head to look at the side, her eyes are all puffy already and she's eyeing down every sticker, she looks up at Laura for confirmation who nods before shy-ly pointing to a pink one.
"Thank you" She whispers shy-ly again placing the sticker on her t-shirt on her chest and turning back into my chest. I slip off the seat holding Y/n in my arms, thanking the dentist once again and saying goodbye.
"Well done honey" I tell my brave girl rubbing her back and giving it a small pat, she leans into my rubbing her eyes with a sniffle, i grab her a tissue out my handbag, giving it over to her to wipe her mouth.
"I don' like it" She muffledly says wiping her mouth, i chuckle threading my fingers through her hair as she whines again. She sighs walking along with me back down to where i parked the car.
"It tastes disgusting" Y/n complains, throwing her head back against the car seat, i pat her leg again as she curls up pouting away.
"I can't even eat! or drink" She says frustratedly, i look over at her quickly before back at the road and find her eyes tearing up again.
"Hey, it's okay Y/n. I'm sure by the time we get back that there'll only be ten minutes or so left sweetheart" I explain, Y/n whines covering her face with her hands and leaning against the window.
We sit in silence for the rest of the journey home, Y/n curled up in her seat as i'm seriously concentrating on the road. Slowly pulling up to my drive, Y/n's head pokes out her legs as she looks around with a yawn.
I don't know how this girl is tired if she got up after Elizabeth and went to sleep at a some what reasonable time last time coming from Elizabeth's words, and the fact it's only 11 in the morning now.
"Are you tired? How much sleep did you get" I ask killing the engine and opening my door getting ready to get out, Y/n shrugs slipping out the car and coming over to me.
"I got enough sleep in just still tired" She mumbles shrugging her shoulders again, i wrap my arm around her shoulder leading her to the front door and letting us both in.
"Do you want a nap? We can watch a movie in the living room" I suggest, Y/n nods her head leaning into my gently and walking along side me.
"Any movie suggestions?" I ask picking up the remote, i sit on the sofa and Y/n's quick to scramble beside me and cuddle right up under my arm. I gently trace my fingers down her arm and tilt my head slightly so it's resting on top of hers.
"dunno" She sighs rubbing her eyes and turning into me again, she brings her arm over, lacing her fingers through mine and holding my hand. I scroll through some Disney movies before landing on a certain one.
"This okay?" I make sure, Y/n hums nodding her head with a tried smile, i kiss her head using my other hand with the remote in to move the hair away from her face and eyes.
"comfy?" I ask, Y/n nods yet again with a small hum. The movie starts playing rolling the scene where they were only young before it processes onto the starting part of the movie.
"am i aloud to go to sleep" Y/n yawns turning her face into side of my arm. I blink slowly also feeling kind of tired myself, i didn't get that much sleep last night my mind was kind of whirling about.
"Of course you can my dear, you don't need to ask to go to sleep" I chuckle patting her sides, she hums moving to full turn her body into me but shifting every minute of so to get comfy.
"Do you want to move upstairs into bed sweetheart" I ask running my fingers through her hair, she shakes her head rubbing her eyes and yawning again. I shift back on the sofa now moving to lay against it length ways, i pull Y/n with me so she's laying on top of me.
"Is this better" I hum, Y/n nods her head turning it away from the tv and holding my hand gently, i kiss her head a few times running my hand up and down her back.
"Go to sleep tiny, scarly's here" I whisper kissing her head again. She laughs turning her face filling into my chest and pushing herself up further.
"Not tiny" She mumbles, i chuckle patting her legs. She sighs and her body melts fully into mine, a few moments later she's fast asleep. I smile down at her, i love this girl so much.
