Chapter 3: Alone in the dark

"Target destroys captain," the pirates confirm to their captain. The captain laughs. Ha, ha, to able to cut a giant ship like that. Seem our money didn't go to waste."  The captain looks extremely pleased with the result. Standing 10 feet tall among the others. The captain shouted to his crew; Let's go men. After so many years, we the "Tusk pirates" will be the first to conquer the most fear territory in the sector. Take whatever is valuable, kill anyone standing in the way. With this weapon not even, the famous Eater won't be able to stop us." With a loud raging roar coming from his crewmates, the pirates all gear up as they approach the Armageddon. 

Safety landing on the ground. Mio and the other soldiers meet up with Touka and Stanley who barely escaped the collapsing tower. "Are you alright?" sister, Mio ask. "Yes, I am fine. She is still a little puzzle on what she saw earlier. A human like figure, but that should be impossible. There is no way a human could survive here for 20 years. Plus, there is no air inside the ship with this condition, so even if that was a human, they wouldn't be able to breath in here. Touka is very unsure with herself, so she kept it a secret from the others. "What happen to the dragon class. I cannot get in contact with it?" soldiers wonders. "Princess look at that." Stanley stares at the giant hole left behind from that blast. The entire front rare of the ship, the city is completely detached from the rest. Through the gaping hole the giant pirate ship makes its way inside.   

"What is that?" they all wonder with a worry expression. "Princess that looks like," Stanley spoke. "Yes, you are right. That is a pirate ship," she replied. "The fact that they were able to enter must mean that the dragon class have been destroy," the soldiers estimates. "These are no small fry's we are looking at. That ship looks big enough to hold a hundred plus," said Mio. "What do we do. We are only few, we can't fight that many," the soldiers look worry. "I don't think they know that we are here," said Stanley. Its hope that is the case," touka replied before ordering the soldiers to get on their starfighters and hurry to the royal palace.

Riding through the streets the soldiers ask why they are going to the royal palace. "The royal palace is the most secure place on the Armageddon with security system, and weapons built around it to provide both offense and defense." Are you planning to fight them off?" they ask. If it come to it, yes," touka replied. One of the soldiers brings up suggestion. "Why don't we try to escape with the starfighters?" 

"These things aren't made for long distance journey through space. And we are light years away from the mothership. We won't make it there before running out of oxygen in our arsenal suit," touka explain. Just how long until reinforcement arrive again?" they ask Mio. "It will take a few days from the mothership. We just need to stay low and hold out until then."

They all made it to the royal palace. "This is actually the first time seeing the royal palace up close. It really looks like something you would see in a fantasy book," the soldier's remark. "Despite the city in ruin the palace still is in one piece."

The walls of the palace are reinforced with the hardest metal the royals could afford from the "Black market." Plus, you can also chalk it up to the palace defense system that come with a matrix shield on par with the Armageddon ship itself," Mio explained.

"With the power for the ship completely ran out. How would we get the palace system back online?" they ask. I will use my arsenal suit to power up the palace," touka replied. "My suit is custom made to have an output greater than yours, so it wouldn't be much of an issue."

Entering the palace. Touka order half the troops to stay on guard duty. Keep an eye out on the pirate's movement. The others followed touka to the system room. There with Mio help. They connected Touka's suit with the computer system to transfer power to the system from her arsenal suit. It works and so they activated the palace defense system. Well not all the systems be up on running. The lighting in the palace doesn't work. But that a good thing. It would probably attract the pirates to their location. They also were able to get the air ventilation system running. So now their can deep inside. Knowing this they all removed their helmet. Because Touka's suit is being use as a source she is unable to move it, so she had to separate herself from it. "Alright with that out of the way, there is one last thing I need to do."
