Chapter 30: Arsenal military training camp

Days have gone by; Shin gets ready to head on over to the training camp. Do the entrance exam, get accepted into the training course to become a soldier in the arsenal core unit. This is what he has been preparing for the past year. Hours of study to catch up to society general knowledges. 

Lucky Shin is an incredible fast learner and easily pick thing up from one his first time. Pinky and Mio, the ones responsible for teaching Shin, always comment that fact. Is it really his royal blood or his superhuman body. The two always wonder. 

On the day of the exam, Shin went to see Touka who stays lock up in her room most of the time since that day. He tells her to wish him good luck and he promise that he will set her and the people of Armageddon X free once he finds Planet Zoan. Until then, please hold on. Shin leave without hearing her replied. Why bother, it's not like she is going to respond anyway.

 After leaving the Palace he was being sendoff by the other maids. They also wish him good luck. Shin wonders where Mio and Pinky are and why they didn't come to send him off. He feels a little curious because they have been locked up in their room the past few days.

Shin wanted to go and see them, but Miss Nickelback stops. Telling his that he is going to be late, so they must leave now. No other choice, Shin gets into the car where Miss Nickelback process to drive Shin to the training camp. 

Miss Nickelback drop Shin off at the training camp later on. Arriving at the front gate, there were many other participants making their way inside for the exam. "So many of them," said Shin. "Even so, only the top participants with the highest grade will be accepted into the camp," Miss Nickelback added on. 

"You were given a recommendation to enter the school, so you must make your way to the headmaster office," Miss Nickelback said. "He is the one who is in charge of the camp right?" Shin asks. "That's correct. His office should be located at top of the main building. He is already expecting you two so be on your best behavior." 

"I will try," he replied. Miss Nickelback pinches his cheek. "Listen boy... getting a recommendation from the royal family for any occasion is a very big honor. It means that Queen Touka and Princess Mio believe in you. Don't waste it and disrespect the family name, don't let them regret giving you this chance."

"Of course, I won't let royal family down."  

"Also remember what you name is going forward." Shin answer telling Miss Nickelback his name, Shin Nickelback and he is her Newpher. 

"You have come far but your journey isn't over yet. It has just begun; I want to see the man you grow up to be after all of this." 

Shin the feel a strange warm and fuzzy feeling inside when Miss Nickelback creases the cheek, she just pinches. She then fixes up his clothes a bit seeing that he is a little untidy before sending him off. 

She watches as the he walks with the crowd. From around her neck, she pulls out a locket. She opens in to reveal a picture of her and her son. "I am going to join the unit and help find a safe planet for you to live on." 

The words that help him push forward. But the words that ended his life. Hearing Shin same the same thing, Miss Nickelback couldn't help but to remember seeing her son's face. And how proud and confident he looks. 

But she is sure that one day Shin will show her the world her son dies trying to find. Walking through the school ground Shin still remembering the strange feeling he had when miss nickelback creases him cheek. 

He shed a little tear. He never thinks about it until now, but he can't remember if I cry when I found out that I will never see my mother again. She and everyone just disappear leaving me behind, all alone. Shin still doesn't remember much from his past except the times he spends with Zenny.
