rick stared at the women outside of the gates. she had a basket in her hand and was covered in walker guts.

she reached down, putting a hand over her wound. hinting to rick she was hurt, when she put her hand back up to the gate the walker next to her smelt the fresh blood.

dropping the basket she hopped back and pulled out her katana. she drove it down into the skull of the closest walker.

"should we help her?" carl looked between the girl and and his father. rick said nothing but started to walk to the front gate.

dropping her own backpack she began hop backwards also towards the gate. she felt herself become dizzy before dropping to the ground. carl started to shoot the walkers that got to close to her.

"carl!" rick shouted, not running. carl tossed him the keys, shooting down more walkers.

"shit!" both rick and carl walked out of the gate, shooting down walkers. rick went for the women while carl went for the basket and her bag.

"is she bit?" hershel asked from the gate. rick quickly looked her over, finding the wound on her leg.

"gunshot." in a quick movement he put her arm around his shoulder and stood up, supporting her weight. running back inside, they took her inside.

"carl get a blanket, beth, water and towel."

"all right." she ran off. carl went to place the blanket on the ground.

"here?" rick nodded. carl laid it down and carl put the unknown women on the ground.

"she's not coming in the cell blocks." beth returns with a bottle of water and towel.

"all right, thank you." he took the supplies from the young girls hands.

"shh," he pours the liquid over her chest. "it's alright, it's alright." she started moving her head side to side.

"hey, hey. look at me. look at me." he caught her attention a little. "who are you?" she let out a gasp as she came to her full senses.

"hey, it's all right." he put his hands up in surrender. she went for her katana, which rick kicked away and held her down.

"no. we're not going to hurt you, unless you try something stupid first, all right." he looked down at her.

"rick." daryl walked into the room, eyes going instantly onto the unknown woman. "who the hell is this." he walked further into the room.

"you wanna tell us your name?" she sat up slightly and didn't answer. "you want to tell us your name?" he asked once more.

"y'all come on in here." daryl motioned for them to go inside the cell block.

"everything all right?" rick stood up.

"you're gonna wanna see this."

"go ahead. carl, get the bag." carl nodded, going to grab her bag and the basket.

"we'll keep this safe and sound." rick held up her katana. "the doors are all locked, you'll be safe here, and we can treat that." he pointed to her leg.

"i didn't ask for your help." she spoke for the first time.

"doesn't matter." he raised his brows and started to walk away. "can't let you leave." he walked into the cell block, daryl slamming the door.
