Summary: You're an escaped criminal, and on a mission to capture you, Hawkeye and Black Widow attempt to take you into custody.

Trigger warnings: Um a head slam? like to knock him unconscious. Also, jumping of the top of a building, not suicide, just escape.

Third person, I think

Fury stalks angrily into the conference room, where the Avengers have assembled for an urgent meeting. He slams a file on the table. "Y/n L/n, age Y/a, has recently started gaining quite the criminal record. I'd like you to bring them in for questioning on their latest crime, an attempted break-in at Shield Headquarters."

Tony leans forward a bit, "Attempted? They weren't successful?"

"Thankfully, no." Fury replies, "But they still managed to escape before any agents could capture them." He pushes the file towards where Clint is sitting. "I'm sending you and Agent Romanoff."

Clint looks slightly surprised. "You're sending me? Why not, say, Bucky? He's a bit better at surprise attacks, wouldn't you say?"

Bucky looks over at him, opening his mouth to say something, but Fury interrupts. "No, I'm sending you, because we need eyes from above while Natasha confronts them on the ground. Their file notes that they are skilled in climbing and jumping, so I want you on the rooftops in case they try to escape that way."

Clint still looks skeptical, but Fury gives him a glare, and Clint sighs, "Fine."

*heyyy, my first time skip*

Um, Clint's POV I guess

"Barton, are you in position?" Natasha's voice comes in through the comms.

"Yes, I've got eyes on the target."

"Good, I'm approaching said target now." Clint sees Natasha slip out from an alleyway a little bit down the street from their target. He watches intently as she confronts the target, a y/h tallish girl/boy. Natasha says something to them, and they instantly are on edge. They look around, then up at the rooftops, but Clint ducks out of sight before they see him. After waiting a few seconds to make sure he's not spotted, he peeks back over the edge of the roof. The target and Natasha have both disappeared.

"Nat, what's your position? I've lost sight of you." He says into the comms.

There's a slight crackle before Natasha's voice comes through. "They're running, South through the alleyway along the building just East of your position."

Clint quickly heads toward the Eastern side of the building he's on. Looking around, he sees the target come out of said alleyway and dart towards his building. He draws his bow, then pauses as they jump, and start climbing up the building. He thinks for a second, before ducking back out of sight, slinging his bow back over his shoulders.

Y/n POV

As you reach the top of the building you're climbing on, you barely register the form of a man running at you before he knocks you down. You gasp, the air knocked out of you. You struggle for a bit, before your training kicks in and you flip him over. You hear his comm crackle a bit before a female's voice, the one who confronted you to be specific, comes through. "Barton, where are you?"

You take this distraction as an opportunity to slam Barton's head down against the roof, effectively knocking him out. You reach down and grab the comm. "I'm sorry, but Barton can't come to the phone right now, would you like to leave a message?" You laugh before dropping it.

You stand up and brush off your hands, considering your options. You reach down and grab the limp form of Barton, seriously, who names their kid Barton? and sling him over your shoulder in a fireman's carry. you run to the opposite side of the building of where you climbed on. As you get ready to start going down, you hear a voice from behind you.

Natasha's POV, I think, I'm not good at this

"Freeze," Natasha commands. Y/n spins around, a smirk growing on their face.

"Aww, come to save your boyfriend?" they taunt. They look her up and down, "Actually, no he's more like your brother right?"

Natasha scowls, then says "Put him down, you're coming with me."

Y/n tilts their head to the side as if considering. "Hmmm, I'm gonna have to go with no, see I have other plans, and don't really have time for you."

Then they grin, turn around and jump.

*awkward wave*

Hey reader, don't worry, I'm writing a part two, maybe as you're reading this, IDK. I'm not sure how I'm going to end this, so it might end up actually being three parts... anyways, I hope you enjoyed it, I'm sorry if I've gotten the POVs wrong, pls kindly let me know what the right ones are.
