Sorry, this isn't an update, and sorry it's been so long since I have updated. It's always crazy in my house around the holidays, and I haven't had much free time. Anyways, I have about ten different stories in progress right now, and hopefully I'll finish a few for you guys today or tomorrow. As much as I hate self-promos, I did, however start a new book that I think you'll enjoy, and I'll be uploading the first real chapter tomorrow. It's called "The forbidden Journal of Malika Hope Freesana" and here's a little bit of it.

Once upon a time. Such a typical fairytale beginning. Well, I assure you, my story is no fairytale. I suppose I should start around a few moons ago. My 16th birthday, in fact.

"Why's it so bloody warm out?" i pant, trying to keep up with my mother on her ridiculously fast-paced journey through the bustling crowds of the Barbalian market. She barely glances at me before grabbing my hand and hurrying me along.

"Keep up, monkey. Your appointment is at ten," she says, weaving through a particularly thick group of people. I sigh. I absolutely detest that nickname, which was given to me by my father when I was a child and insisted on climbing everything I could.

Someone shoves into me and I trip, losing the hold on my mother's hand.

"Watch where yer goin'," barks the someone, and I look up into a brutally scarred face. My eyes widening, I manage to stutter out a weak apology, before my mother's back. She grabs my hand and shoots a terrified look at the stranger.

"Come on, Malika, we're going to be late," she practically whispers before hurriedly pulling me along again.
