Vance Hopper x Reader !

"Hey, can I borrow a quarter?"
Vance asked me, glancing at me out of the corner of his eye. "Yeah, sure, but this is the last one."I responded, pointing an accusing finger at him before handing him a quarter out of my pocket. "Thanks, you got it honey,"
He laughed, making my face turn a bright pink. To Vance's distaste, someone is shoved into his pinball game, for the 9th time this week. "Bro, don't fuck with my game!"
He angrily said, picking the kid up by his collar. "I'm sorry Vance! It won't happen again I swear!"
The boy cried, a look of sheer fear apparent on his face. His forehead was sweating like there was no tomorrow. He shoved the kid into a comic bookcase. Returning to the pinball machine with a look of frustration on his face. "Fine, one more."
I said, shoving my hand into my pocket to search for a quarter. "This is the last one, though,"I warn, as I hand him the quarter. He nods and shoves the quarter into the machine, making it hum to life. He tapped the buttons with ease, I watched closely as the ball jumped from each paddle, hitting lights and buzzers galore. It seemed like an eternity as I sat at the edge of my seat watching him play. "You're great at this and all, but I'm getting quite bored,"
I admit to him, although I knew I was just as interested as he was, though, I would never tell him that. "Alright, alright, we'll go after this,"Vance grins, giving me a quick side glance, if I hadn't been staring at him, I'm sure I wouldn't have noticed. "Can we get breakfast after this?"
I begged him, despite the two or three other people here, we were the only ones, I mean most, sane, people don't go to the arcade just to play pinball super early in the morning, but oh well. "Sure,"
Vance mumbles back, not really paying attention to what I'm saying. "What about at Tiffany's?"
I asked him, smiling, I had always loved Tiffany's, they had the best breakfast foods. He hums in agreement, it was surprising how long he could spend playing pinball, I mean, like seriously surprising, not that I minded, though. Before I knew it, Vance pounded his fists onto the machine, he gritted his teeth, a look of frustration apparent on his face. "Are you kidding me?!"
He shouts, "I was so close to beating my high score, too!"
He complains, quite obviously distraught. "Calm down Vance, you can beat your high score later,"
I comfort him, patting his arm. After a few moments, I pipe back up again, "Can we go to Tiffany's now?"
I hated to ask, but I was just starving. He smiled slightly as he grabbed my hand. We exited the arcade in silence, walking straight to my car. Not to toot my own horn, but it was quite an expensive car, a 1960s Chevy Impala, to be specific, I had gotten it from my father and I pampered it, honestly, I loved that thing, so did Vance, he loved when we took my car, he always told me how he thought it was such a cool looking car and how he wished he had one just like mine.Once we got to Tiffany's I was practically buzzing in my seat, I hadn't had Tiffany's in so long. Vance exited the car, walking around the vehicle to open my door for me. I smiled at the small gesture, he put his hand out for me to grab, I took it and we walked hand in hand to the front door. He let go of my hand to open yet another door for me, I gave him a cheeky smile, "You didn't have to open the doors for me, but thank you."
I explained, entwining our fingers together as we held hands. "Of course I did,"
He replied, bringing our entwined hands to his face, leaving a peck on my hand. My face began to heat up, he wasn't normally this affectionate, nor passionate, but hey, I wasn't complaining. "What can I get you two?"
The hostess asked, a gleaming smile on her face, as if she was elated to seat us. "A booth would be nice,"Vance spoke up, the hostess smiled, grabbing two menus from behind her before turning on her heel and instructing us to follow her. We happily complied.
We luckily got a booth right by a window, which showed such a beautiful sunrise. The hostess smiled, wishing us a great meal before walking away, presumably to get our server. The server came to us quite quickly, a large smile on his face, "Hello, my name is Aaron and I'll be your server for today."The boy explained, before adjusting his collar. "What can I get you both for today?"He asked, looking at both Vance and I. "Could I just have water? I'm still looking over the menu,"
Vance explained, looking back at the menu. "Of course sir, and for you, ma'am?"
He asked, all professional-like. "I'd like water with lemon please, thank you sir."
I responded, he smiled. "Alright, two waters and I'll bring out some lemon wedges."
He explained, I thanked him before he walked away. Then, I turned to Vance. "What are you going to get?"
I asked him, he hummed, unsure. "Probably the breakfast sandwich?"
He said questionably, I nodded. "What are you getting?"
He asked, looking up from the menu. "My normal,"
I replied nonchalantly. He nodded in understanding before turning back to the menu. I noticed the jukebox only a few feet away, a little sign saying two quarters for a song, so I walked over to it, Vance looked up at me in question before I inserted two quarters, as it said to, and picked a song to play. Earth Angel by the Penguins began to play quietly from the jukebox. I put my hand out, a smile on my face. "No, no, no, no, no, no, no."
Vance protested, despite the smile forming on his face. A cheeky grin apparent on my face as I tug on his hand, practically pulling him out of the booth. "Fine!"
He reluctantly said, getting up. I put my arm around his shoulder as he puts his arm around my waist. Our fingers interlaced with one another as we moved in sync, as if we had done this before. It was magical, we swayed to the song with silly smiles on our faces. "I've got your-"
Aaron, the server said, cutting himself off. Vance and I both quickly let go of eachother, hoping not to discomfort the server, he seemed unbothered by it though. "So what can I get for you two?"
He asked, smiling.
