Robin Arellano x Reader !
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Y/N, since this year you'll be going to my school, we need to set some ground rules, alright?"
Moose, my brother, explains, I nod in agreement before taking a seat across from him. "Number one, this is the most important one,"
Moose looks me straight in the eye, I stare right back at him. "Do not, and I mean do not associate yourself with Robin Arellano, he's bad news."
He tells me, a serious expression on his face. "Why's he bad news?"
I ask quizzically. "He beats up innocent kids like me, you know that day I came home battered and bruised and I wouldn't tell mom what happened?"
I nodded, I knew what he was talking about. "That was Robin, I still have a scar from it in the nape of my neck."
Moose explained, pointing to a spot on his neck. I glanced at where he's pointing, there was a small gash there, nothing bad, just seemingly at one point extremely deep. "A kid at your school did that?"
I asked, looking up at my brother. He nodded and continued on with the rules. I listened carefully to what he was saying, I promised myself I wouldn't be caught dead with that Robin kid. When I first got into the school, I was terrified. It was nothing like my prior school, there were so many students and the hallways were so crowded that it was sticky and uncomfortable to move around. "Hey! Are you new?"
A girl asks me, smiling happily. "Oh, yeah,"
I say, looking down embarrassed. "Don't feel bad! I just know a new face when I see one."
She says, grinning. "Why are you over there, anyways? That's where all the football boys hang out."
She asks, pointing at the huddle of guys I was standing next to. I shrugged, "My brother is on the football team, I was hoping to walk with him to my first class, but you see how that worked out."
I laughed, she laughed along with me. "Here, why don't you come stand with my brother and I."
She offers, lending her hand. "Thanks,"
I said, taking it as she led me over to where A boy with light brown wavy hair stood, slouched on a locker. "Who's this?"
The boy asks, leaning towards me. "This is.."
The girl trails off, turning to look at me. "Y/N,"
I say, smiling at the girl. "I'm Gwen! And that's my brother, Finney."
Finney leans back and waves. "Nice to meet you, Y/N."
He says, smiling. I smile back. "Thanks for letting me stick with you guys."
I said, they both said it was no problem and that if I had any questions to just ask them.As the days went on, I continued to hang out with Finney and Gwen, they were great! I enjoyed their company an awful lot and it was always such a delight to hear about all of their stories. Around the beginning of my second week, a new boy began coming up to us. I had no idea who he was, well, until today.
"Robin!"
Finney yelled, smiling at the boy who had started joining us during the morning slouches on the lockers. My blood ran cold. Was this the Robin Arellano kid that Moose was talking about? I searched my brain for an excuse to get out of there as Robin made his way over to us. "Gwen, I've got to go use the restroom, I'll meet up with you guys later."
I told her, smiling. She nodded in understanding before I ran off towards the bathroom. I locked myself in the stall, heaving out breaths. I couldn't be caught in his tracks. I was afraid he would beat me up. I was surprised Finney and Gwen were friends with such a monster! Beating up kids without a reason, that's just terrible! When I heard the bell ring, I ran out of the bathroom and into my classroom, praying that Robin wouldn't be around during lunch too. This became a regular thing. I would make up excuse after excuse so that I didn't have to see that Robin kid, I was too scared that he would beat the crap out of me! Plus, Moose would be on my ass as soon as he saw any sort of scratch on my body if Robin hurt me.
I was walking home one day all by myself. Moose had to stay after for football practice and I refused to wait for him today, so I started walking by myself. I was enjoying my time, taking in the atmosphere, until a voice broke my trance. "What do we have here?"
A boy I didn't recognize said, "I've seen her hanging around Finny and Gwen!"
Another said with a blank face. They all stood there staring at me until they eventually began inching closer to us, the tallest one being the closest. He grabbed me by the collar of my shirt, lifting me off the ground just barely. "Hi princess, why do you hang out with that lowlife and his stupid little sister, anyways?"
He asks, his breath wafting into my face making me gag. I spit on him. "Put me down!"
I yelled, his eyebrows furrowed. "You bitch!"
He screamed, throwing me to the ground. "Who the fuck do you think you're talking to?!"
He asks, raising his fist. A thick coat of blood began to surround my head, most likely from hitting the concrete so hard. I was unable to respond. He punched me hard. Before one of the other boys pulled him off. "Chill out dude, you literally just picked her up into the air for no reason, she's literally bleeding."
"I don't give a fuck, she spat on me. Who the fuck does she think she is. She doesn't stand a chance against us so why the fuck are you defending her?"
"She's a girl dude, don't you have any sense of chivalry?"
"I don't give a shit about chivalry dude! This chick is about to get it."
The guy who had picked me up shoved both of his friends, making them both fall on their asses. He began inching closer to me again. "Oh, you're about to fucking get it, bitch."
The guy said, clenching his fists. A flash of someone's silhouette caught my eye, and before I knew it, the guy who had been inching closer to me, was on the ground being beaten the crap out of. I recognized the guy who tackled him. It was Robin. Panic rose in my stomach. I had to get out of here! I sprung to my feet and quickly rushed down the sidewalk. Trying to find a place to hide.I ended up sitting in between two buildings. I didn't know what to do. I was all alone and my house was too far away, what if one of those guys tried to hurt me again? I wasn't sure what to do. But it seemed that life was not on my side. Robin appeared right in front of me. I began cowering away from him. "Why are you so afraid of me?"
He asks, kneeling down to be eye level with me. "I know who you are!"
I exclaimed, "You beat up my brother for no reason!"
I said, squeezing my eyes shut. "Who's your brother?"
Robin asks, genuine confusion written upon his face. "Moose."
I said, looking anywhere but his eyes. "I hate to break this to you, but I beat up Moose because he asked for a fight, I don't just start fights with people for no reason, I'm not a savage."
He chuckles at the thought. I look up at him. "You're not going to beat me up?"
I asked, nervousness apparent on my face. "No, I'm not going to hurt you, it seems like Matty already did a number on you though."
He says, reaching for a strand of my blood-covered hair. He frowns at the sight. "So,"
I say, not meeting his gaze. "So,"
He replied, pushing my hair into my face in order to see the cut in the back of my head. "Thank you."
I say quietly, "I really appreciated it, I'm not sure what I would've done if you hadn't shown up."
I explained. "Yeah, I'm glad I was there to protect you."
He says, smiling at me. A small smile grows on my face as well.Robin walked me home after that, and he promised to walk me home every time Moose had to stay after as well. While we walked, we exchanged different personality traits and interests. After learning what I had today, I was never going to try to avoid Robin again.
