Finney Blake x Reader !

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"C'mon Y/N, we're going to be late at this rate!"
My brother, Robin, yelled up the stairs for me. "I'm coming, I'm coming!"
I replied, "You don't think I woke up this pretty, do you?"
I asked him, walking down the stairs at a moderate pace. "I think you look fine either way,"
Robin shrugged, before grabbing my hand and pulling me to the front door, where our backpacks sat contemptly. Robin grabbed both of our bags, he slung his bag over his shoulder before handing me mine. I thank him before we both leave the house. We both got on our bikes and rode to school together.

When we arrived, we said our goodbyes before we parted. I went straight to looking for Finney or Gwen. I only got a few steps before Moose came up to me. "Hey Y/N, I need a bandaid,"
He explained, pointing to his knee. "Why? There isn't even a cut on your knee."
I deadpanned, "Because I scraped my knee falling for you."
He replied, winking. I rolled my eyes in annoyance. "Don't like that one? I mean you sure look sort of pale,"
Moose trailed off, "Do I really?"
I stopped, turning to look at him. "Yeah, I think you need some vitamin ME."
He exclaimed, nudging me. "You're not funny,"
I say, turning to walk away once more. "Fine, fine,"
He grimaced. I went a few steps before I heard shortened breaths. "Y/N, do you know CPR? I'm struggling to breathe."
Moose said, coughing and grabbing his throat as if to indicate something was stuck. Panic overtook my body as I rushed over to him. "You sure are taking my breath away."
Moose said, immediately stopping the act now that I was close and paying attention to him. I smacked him. "Why can't you just leave me alone! That isn't cool, jackass!"
I yelled, immediately jumping to my feet and beginning to walk away. "Hey, bitch, don't think you can just get away with smacking me."
Moose says, rising to his feet before grabbing the back of my neck. A chill ran up my spine as his moist, sweaty hand clung to my neck.

"Hey, asshole, don't touch my sister."
Robin said, a cool tone to his voice despite the angry expression on his face. "I'll do whatever the fuck I want, Robin the dumbass Arellano."
Moose mocked, chuckling slightly at the height difference. "Let my sister go,"
Robin repeated, before walking closer. Moose let go, reluctantly. "Tomorrow morning, in the courtyard,"
Moose said, glaring at Robin before walking away. Robin sped over to me and hugged me. "I'm away for less than ten minutes!"
He exclaims, "You okay?"
He asks, "I'm fine, I'm fine, you good?"
I asked him, smiling. "Yeah,"
He smiled back, "You looked like you were going to burst a blood vessel with that angry expression of yours."
I laughed, he grinned in response before letting me go. I went along with my day.

Before I knew it, I was in science. I hadn't seen Finney yet today so I was excited to see him. As soon as I stepped foot in the classroom, I went over to Finney. "Hey, I heard what happened earlier, you good?"
He asked as soon as I sat down. "Oh, you heard about that?"
I asked, looking away slightly in embarrassment. "Yeah, I really couldn't not hear it, everyone's talking about it."

Finney explained, I turned to see almost everyone in class looking at me. "Oh,"
Was the only thing I could muster as my face turned a bright red. I covered my face with my hands as I looked down at the desk. "It's okay, it could be worse, right?"
Finney asked, grabbing my hand before rubbing the top of it gently. "Not really, I hadn't noticed all the stares until now,"
I said, fear apparent on my face. "It's okay,"
Finney hushed, grabbing the only other hand on my face. "It's fine,"
It sounds really cheesy, but it was really comforting and I couldn't have been more appreciative of Finney at that moment. He was so sweet as he caressed my hand, soothing my nerves with each subtle movement. We were so close I could practically feel his breath on my arm, not that I was complaining. "I like you, Y/N."
Finney said abruptly, catching me by surprise. "What?"
I said, my face contorting to one of pure shock. Sure, I like Finney but I hadn't imagined in a million years that he would like me back. Besides, I always had thought he liked Donna or something. "Sorry, that was so random-"
Finney stuttered, his own face beet red with sheer embarrassment. If this were any other situation, I would have laughed so hard. "I like you too."
I finally responded, he turned to me, his eyes big and weary. "You do?"
He asked, I nodded. "So let me get this straight, you like me?"
He stated, a quizzical look on his face. "That's right."
I replied, my cheeks flushed a crimson red. "And this isn't some sick joke? Because I swear if this-"
I cut him off, "I'm being serious, I like you."
I said. "Why is that so hard to believe?"
I asked, "Well, I don't know, Robin always sort of made it seem like you were off limits."
Finney explained, looking away slightly with an embarrassed look on his face. I laughed, Robin had always been like that, we were the same age and he acted like I was some small thing that needed protection constantly, even with things that wouldn't even be that threatening. Like honestly, who truly thinks that Finney Blake is capable of breaking someone's heart? He can barely hurt a fly!

Later that day, Robin saw Finney grab my hand and he was immediately up in our business. Asking questions left and right. "Are you dating my sister?"
He quickly asked Finney, not sparing a simple glance at me. Finney froze, unsure of how Robin would take it, he just mumbled yes. Robin had a look in his eyes that could kill. I stared at Robin for a solid minute, my eyes squinted with a look of disapproval. This wasn't the first time Robin tried to comment on the people I liked. "Good for you guys."
Robin begrudgingly said, however, he still looked at Finney in a threatening way. Finally, he left Finney and I to sit together and talk.
